No evidence that Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck influenced gunman Jared Loughner

(WIREUPDATE) — Despite the rhetoric found on Twitter and liberal websites there is absolutely no shred of evidence that Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck ever once influenced the gunman behind the mass shooting in Tuscon, Arizona. By all accounts Jared Loughner was an insane individual whose online ramblings do not reflect either the former Governor or the television host.

In the hours after the tragic shootings we have learned very little about the gunman. According to former friends he was considered ‘a loner’ who used recreational drugs and listened to music such as Jimi Hendrix and The Doors. He was able to legally obtain the gun that he would go on to use in the shooting of 19 individuals.

Liberal commentators such as Keith Olberman and DailyKos founder Markos Moulitsas were quick to give blame to Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck for Loughner’s actions despite hearing any evidence that would suggest Loughner was influenced by them.

Jared Loughner’s obsession with Arizona Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords wasn’t a recent occurrence. Long before Sarah Palin posted a Facebook image declaring Giffords as one of her political targets during the 2010 mid-term elections, Loughner told a high school friend that he spoke with the Congresswoman. He asked Giffords a question and determined she was “stupid and unintelligent.”

This meeting occurred a year before Sarah Palin was a household name, in 2007, and three years before the infamous ‘targets’ image was posted on Facebook.

That can’t be correct. I thought he was only 22 years old.

From everything I’ve seen today, if Sarah or Glenn had been there today, he would have shot them. It’s a good thing that he never showed up at any Tucson Tea Party rallies. He could have really done some damage.

Evidence? Since when has the left ever needed evidence?

saw this on Hillbuzz
“This from the Hot Air comments section:

Congressman Paul Kanjorski, the Pennsylvania Democrat, on Gov.-Elect Rick Scott: “Shoot Him”

http://spectator.org/blog/2010/11/09/kanjorski-on-gov-elect-rick-sc

“That Scott down there that’s running for governor of Florida,” Mr. Kanjorski said. “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him [sic] and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he’s running for governor of Florida. He’s a millionaire and a billionaire. He’s no hero. He’s a damn crook. It’s just we don’t prosecute big crooks.”

The pinkos don’t need no steenkin’ evidence when it comes to working up the energy to persecute and murder their opposition. I imagine they are going to see another funeral failure with this latest political corpse dance.

And I believe his “myspace” said he is gay. What was the congresswoman’s stance on DADT? or Same sex marriage?

Can someone explain what a left wing, flag burning, “America is a terrorist nation” believing, Bible hating, pot smoking, “America is involved in 2 illegal wars” believing, communist manifesto liking killer has to do with Palin or the tea party?

They tried this same thing with the IRS plane crash guy Joe Stack who turned out to be a 9-11 truther who hated capitalism, Bush, and the Church.

This what scares me. Doesn’t matter that this guy is nuttier than a pecan roll - the Left and their buddies in the media are going to use this to try and discredit the Tea Party and conservatives.

Remember, truth means nothing in politics. Repetition is what matters.

It didn't say he saw them live in Concert, just that he listened to their music. Or maybe he just watched Apocalypse Now Redux.

I really hope you were being sarcastic.

BTW - I on the other hand did see the Doors at the Hollywood Bowl, and I haven't shot anyone, yet...

Just a joke O’Reilly, just a joke.

Since when does the left need “evidence?”

All they require is a sounding board.

Leftists don’t care about the truth. Leftists want political power forever, and they will do anything and everything, in order to make it happen.

The news-media’s dragging of Palin and Beck into this story (without a single iota of evidence) is about the most egregious line I’ve ever seen them cross. This is truly getting into Reichstag territory.

But there is evidence the Communist Manifesto might have influence Loughner.
