This is the report that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has been dreading since the tragic event on Saturday January 8.

The sheriff has been editorializing and politicizing the event since he took the podium to report on the incident. His blaming of radio personalities and bloggers is a pre-emptive strike because Mr. Dupnik knows this tragedy lays at his feet and his office. Six people died on his watch and he could have prevented it. He needs to step up and start apologizing to the families of the victims instead of spinning this event to serve his own political agenda.

Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County. Amy Loughner is a Natural Resource specialist for the Pima County Parks and Recreation.

I read earlier today on an FR thread that the Facebook page was NOT Loughner’s, but one that someone fixed up AFTER the shootings. Apparently he only had a MySpace page, and maybe another, but NOT Facebook.

Thanks for the info. I haven’t posted it anywhere as I was not sure it was his. I don’t know how to find out when it was created but they definitely pulled it FAST! I guess it will go in “the file”

I have had those posts when, on rereading, I asked myself “WHAT THE HECK WAS I THINKING/DRINKING?” and begged the Mods to pull it.

Thank God the Mods seem to have a constant current of kindness from which to draw...

Oh, I know! Dupnik is really CYA’ing!!! This will be a HUGE story when it breaks and I hope it does fast.

I am calling the democrats “ghouls” and am including a definition too so people won’t think I am just exaggerating:

Well Squeeky,there is an Elephant in the room that they are not talking about.From what I read Loughner was an invited guest to this event as was Boyblue.Boyblue posts on a democratic forum and said she was dead to him.Also they both admit to being gay.God bless her because she didn’t know how strange these people were but they were on her list.

Let's think about this.A man threatens to kill me and the police say not to worry because he is getting mental help.Then he kills a lot of people and the police say it because of talk radio.Where did he get the money to buy drugs and guns.Why wasn't there any record on him.Is he on soc.security disability for mental illness and getting a check from the government every month.And the parents-living with him everyday and not calling police-not that it would have done any good.So who's to blame here and what are they hiding.

I read that the father has been unemployed for some time and occasionally fixes cars.

The description of the house by the school friend was weird (dark, cold, uninviting, he felt unwelcome). Makes you wonder if the son wasn’t the only crazy one. Maybe the father has issues as well? Might explain why they (apparently) didn’t do anything about the son’s behavior.
