Im okay with it, as long as they realize that using that gun while high could put them in a whole heap of trouble. How are you going to prove somebody was high when using the gun? There is no "Breathalyzer" for pot. A urine or hair sample test only tells if the subject has been exposed to marijuana in the past month or so, and does not speak to immediate impairment.
There is no conclusive, measurable way to tell if somebody was high on pot when they commit the crime. And spare me the "Cop Smelt It" proof...they lie just as anybody else does.

Should a person be denied a CCW, or the right to own firearms at all if theyve ever been diagnosed as being an alcoholic? I'm an alcoholic, clean and sober since July, 1981 but still a self described and admitted alcoholic. I guess this guy would deny me the right to keep and bear arms.

My understanding of alcoholism is that there are "recovering alcoholics", but there are no "recovered alcoholics". It's something you learn to live with, but not something you get over.
