Skip to comments.Congressman Mike Rogers shocked by Reader-in-Chief

Just heard this morning on a local radio broadcast: Congressman Mike Rogers, Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, said he found it "shocking" that Obama had to read his statement to top strategists in the Situation Room recently. Highly unusual for a president to be so unfamiliar with what's going on that he had to recite from a script. So, I'm wondering as I am sure Mike Rogers is wondering......who wrote it?
Today on MPS re: Obama's meeting with Clinton, Gates and Rogers, who chairs the Intelligence Committee: Michael Patrick Shiels: "Does he know what he's talking about, or is he a poseur?" Congressman Mike Rogers: "Um.....Let me just say that he had to read his statement in the Situation Room......I just found that a little shocking." ---- "I was a little surprised that he had to read his statement to a working group of individuals trying to figure out if this was the right thing to do or not." -Congressman Mike Rogers
Gosh I hope with a screenname like that you’re a female.
This should not shock the good congress person or anyone on this site, or anyone with half the intellect and common sense of a patio paver.
The stain IS TOLD WHAT TO SAY AND READ by his handlers. Remember: this is an empty suit and at best a community organizer.
Asking the stain to speak with knowledge about anything other than community organizing or now golf, is completely and totally unfair!
To answer the obvious: YES, Obama IS a posuer!
He put forth an image of being eloquent, a great orator, and he can’t string two words together if his teleprompter is unplugged.
Ditto with speaking without reading from a script.
I wonder if he accidentally read the part that says,
Read this just as I wrote it dummy, or I’ll have your head.
It’s the analog mobile version of TOTUS.
That’s because he’s taking his marching orders (and talking points) from these folks:
Now thanks to you I’m laughing too hard to drink my coffee.
Just for that I should change my handle to 5ft6inboots.
A hard hollow head with big ears, sewn to an empty suit with no spine.
Maybe he’s green eyed and classy.
Where has Mike Rogers been for the last almost 3 yrs? Barry even had to have teleprompter to talk w/ grade schoolers. Earth to Mike, earth to Mike.... By now anyone w/ a functioning brain knows Barry is of less than average intelligence with a child-like attention span.
Do you know why girls wear high heel shoes?
So their knuckles don’t drag on the ground.
Give the guy a break. He’s busy planning his next European
Just about exactly what I was going to post in response.
It should be more a surprise if Obomba didn't read from a script or teleprompter.
He’s an actor, nothing more, and the majority of Americans fell for “it” in ‘08.
He had to wait to make a decision on Libya bacause his puppet masters hadn’t made a decision. It’s so obvious.
This guy would be ran out of D.C. on a rail if more people would pay attention instead of watching DANCING WITH THE WASHED UP STARS.
Remember the St. Patty’s Day celebration at the WH last year where zer0 thanked himself for inviting everyone to the party? What was intended for the Irish PM this guy read and never missed a beat.
not sure who’s more clueless, obama or rogers.
If you wish to be added to or removed from the Michigan ping list, please post or FReepmail me.
The congressman is shocked? I guess he missed the little speech he gave in front of grade schoolers in which he used a teleprompter. This guy is a total incompetent.
But you would think that the smartest, coolest president ever would not have to recite from a prepared sheet when discussing his thoughts on Libya with top staffers. One has the impression that when he finished, he either left the room, or sat there like a silent sock puppet. I’m much less bothered by a congressman using a teleprompter to speak to schoolchildren than a president whose main talent is to read in a pleasing voice.
I've known professional actors - personally (my younger brother is one - stage).
The stain is not an actor. Actors have to think, they have to interpret, they have to believe in their role.
The stain is empty. The stain is nothing but a bad tape recorder spitting out what is on the tape. No thought, no real emotion, no "soul", no professionalism...nothing at all. Just emptiness.
The stain needs to be eradicated from office...NOW!
I agree with you completely. My daughter is an actor, too. I gave actors a bad name with that one.
“The stain needs to be eradicated from office...NOW!”
Do you have a link?
The empty suit strikes again.
The congressman didn’t use the teleprompter at a grade school, the president did.
I worked in the manufacturing industry for almost 35 years and the only analogy I can come up with is the owner of a multi million dollar company, employing several thousand employees suddenly dying and his son, the sole heir to the company who has spent his entire life living off the trust funds while surfing the California shores or skiing Aspen all winter, now being called in to run the company.
At every board meeting he attends he sits there and nods approvingly then waves his hand and says that's a good idea, lets do it...........
Yep, at my website, http://www.6foot2inhighheelshoes.com
Dang, you are so right! Pardon my brain sprain :)
I re-read my post and I don’t think it was your fault. I could have been clearer.
Skippy the Echolocating Wonderbat never ceases to amaze, why he’s such a great orator!
Gotta love it, he is both a joke and a disaster at the same time.
