Don’t think so— especially considering we have ICBMs We only have 450 ICBMs left on Alert. Iran is not a strategic target and the cost of an ICBM launch and the resultant destruction of the Launcher is too costly to our deterrent force.
The use of tactical weapon/s is called for in this scenario.

Actually, given that both Russia and China would react strongly against an ICBM launch, I suspect were we to launch a strike against Iran, it would be done with bombers (and cruise missiles). Of course, Diego Garcia would be the obvious base, since the fact that Iran is the target would be clear, as the planes would reach their target without even skirting Russian or Chinese airspace.

The only way this makes sense is if Obama is planning to land the B-52s in Tehran and give the nukes to Iran to “level the playing field” against Israel.
