Why Releasing Birth Cert Killed Obama's Re-election
RightWire.net ^ | 27 April 2011 | Tax Nomo

One day soon we'll look back on April 27, 2011 as an important day. Right now liberals think we'll remember it as the day that Obama put the lie to the birthers, but they're wrong. I think we'll remember it as the day Obama's presidency died.

Right now, Obama and the left, along with their lapdogs in the MSM, think they've outsmarted the birthers, and that they've engaged in a brilliant game of political brinksmanship. They're thinking that the birthers have shown themselves to be the fruits and nuts of the right, and they made all this hubbub about what was, after all, nothing really. Just a document... like any other American birth certificate.

They're wrong. For two reasons...

Why couldn’t the Governor find it and now a lawyer suddenly pulls it out of the records??

Pray for America

I am not sure. However, there appear to be many knowledgeable people at FR that have posted that it is not an indication of forgery so I am inclined to accept that it is a valid document. Especially considering the Birther community’s abysmal record of document “forensics” - I am thinking specifically of Polarik and Techdude here.

Was Obama lying then, or is he lying now?

Then he said the short form COLB was the ONLY proof there was. Even the state of Hawaii engaged in that lie.

Now, he saying this lousy excuse for a layered-up photoshop is proof.

Wonder what sort of BS lies he will come up with when Dr. Corsi’s book comes out?

This really bothers you, doesn’t it? Why should I respond to you when it is clear your only goal is to get me banned? Can’t you simply ignore me?

I wonder if we’ll hear again from Polarik and Techdude. It would be nice to be vindicated for pointing out their incorrectness for so long.

No one is going to make this ad because no one is going to want to be associated with a man who refused his duty simply to prove a point (which he eventually admitted was wrong anyways).

The ad would not be nearly as effective as you think. As has already been demonstrated, release of the birth certificate does not guarantee an end to the debate about Obama’s legitimacy. Plenty are still obsessed with somehow reaching the conclusion that the President is not the President, and it doesn’t matter what the White House does.

While not a certainty, it’s perfectly reasonable to expect that Lakin would just resort to the “Obama’s mother wasn’t old enough to confer citizenship” or any host of other tacts that the majority of voters will not hear or care about.

If the State of Hawaii put an official seal on this and says it’s a genuine public record of Hawaii, that ends the discussion of the authenticity as far as any court is concerned. Under the Constitution (Article IV, section 1), every state and court must give “Full Faith and Credit...to the public Acts, Records and judicial proceedings of every State.” So if Hawaii says it’s real, the law of every other state says it’s real.

_________________________________________________

The state of Hawaii can do no such thing. Just last week they were making false claims that the short form COLB was and is and forever will always be the total and complete proof of birth. Period. End of Sentence.

Now? Now if they endorse this, then they are bleeping liars. Well, they’ve been bleeping liars for years now. But this latest photo-shop? The HDOH can NOT sign off on this without being called out as the liars they are.

I’m waiting for Fukino, or Lingle or Abercrombie or any other jack-wagon liars in Hawaiii to comment on this.

RE :” Lakin is in jail because he refused deployment on a bet that Obama’s BC was not legit. I don’t think there’s going to be much sympathy for him from either side

The Lakin argument at above post (link) is convoluted. It really says :

Lakin is in jail because he violated the law thinking he would get off based on his wrong assumptions about Obama’s BC being a valid defense so it is all Obama’s fault and will cause Obama to lose the election when voters find out about it”.

If I was part of the BC club the last subject I would bring up is Lakin. Maybe we can find something Obama did wrong AS PRESIDENT to go after in 2012 race, just an idea.

If you don’t think the ad would be effective you don’t know psychology. The right images and the right voice-over would devastate Obama irreparably.

Even if it is real (doubtful) it confirms Barack Sr., a British Subject, as 0bammy’s daddy, making Hussein a dual citizen - NOT “natural born”.

That Obama's father was never a citizen was never a secret. It was in Obama's autobiographies; everyone knew it.

But during the primary elections, none of Obama's opponents claimed that that made him ineligible to run. During the general election campaign, McCain and Palin never claimed that that made Obama ineligible. During that campaign, no conservative legal organization (Thomas Moore Center, ACLJ, Judicial Watch, etc.) ever filed a challenge to Obama's eligibility. No law professor wrote an op-ed article questioning Obama's eligibility.

After the election, no member of the electoral college questioned Obama's eligibility. When Vice President Cheney certified the electoral votes before a joint session of Congress, not one member of the House or Senate raised any objection to Obama's eligibility. Chief Justice Roberts swore Obama into office without questioning his eligibility.

In the past, we elected a Vice President, Spiro Agnew (the VP is required by the Constitution to have the same qualifications as the President), whose father wasn't a citizen. No one at the time claimed that he wasn't qualified to hold office.

At this point, the odds of any court in the U.S. defining "natural born citizen" to mean anything but a citizen who is born, not naturalized, is exactly zero.

It didn’t bother me until I found out that FR doesn’t like retreads. If you get zotted for good reason [as you did] you’re not supposed to sneak back in under the radar screen.

But I suspect you know that already.

Since I am not a retread, it shouldn’t be an issue, should it?

Hawaii now says they have certified this copy. So legally, that ends the issue. It's entitled to Full Faith and Credit.

Nope. Not even close.

So, I assume you can cite a court case saying that a state or federal court can refuse to recognize a public recorfd that has the official seal of the issuing state?

This episode helped obama and destroyed what little chance trump had. One of the more clumsy political skirimshes I have ever seen. Kind of like the Gerald ford debate moment when you see a candidate that is so sure of himself make a fatal blunder. Or when a lawyer asks a witness a question without knowing the answer and the witness answers and make the lawyer look foolish.

But trump was / is entertaining.
