The release of President Obama’s so-called “long form” birth certificate may convince a lot of straddlers on the issue that indeed, the president is eligible to be, well, president. But the surprise release by the White House of a document that conclusively proves that the president of the United States was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961, at 7:24 PM local time isn’t satisfying those whose standards of proof lie in the ethereal world of religious revelation rather than the more mundane plane of existence where facts and logic dominate.
For the true-blue, dyed-in-the-wool, never-say-never birthers, the only thing that will apparently convince them of the provenance of Obama’s birth is a document that tells them exactly what they believe — that the president wasn’t born here and is therefore ineligible to hold office. Any evidence to the contrary is dismissed as fake or forged, or is simply ignored as not worthy of their attention.
To wit: When confronted with irrefutable proof that you have been wrong all along, concentrate on minutiae that, at least in your own mind, can keep the theory alive. Here’s a comment from Roger L. Simon’s “Teachable Moment” post on the Tatler:

Like anyone else who has Adobe Illustrator, I opened up the digital file that appeared, and saw how easily any one with the most basic skills could enhance, change or move the text around. I was in Wilson County, Kansas, and wanted to see the Marriage License of my forefathers, they took me to large huge books, leather bound books, I could go over and see the ORIGINAL marks that were made by the court clerks back in 1877. WHAT ARE THEY TRYING TO HIDE! There were no computer generated birth certificates in 1961
Next time someone is asked for a copy of their birth certificate, they should try sending it by email... and see how far that gets them.
So far, the only thing Obama has disclosed is digital evidence.
This won’t be over until Obama hands a verifiable hard copy to someone that can authenticate it.
I believe a physical copy was released and people were allowed to handle it this time.

No questions, no investigation, no close up of it no nothing, nope report what obama states and case closed.
If we are ever to get this country back then the corrupt media need addressing as of right now they are attacking the right, telling lies and just repeating what they are told.
Investigative journalism is dead some years ago and it will only get worse until something is done about it.

Fine. But it says daddy was a Kenyan student, not an American citizen. Where he was born is irrelevant if daddy was not a citizen.
I think even those who are not "birthers" assumed that was what they were going to see when they heard the announcement.

The seal is there, it is just really hard to see. Somebody posted an pic showing it in the 1200+ post thread started early today. Look very close at the bottom line, box 23, near the left side. There is something there, hard to say what, but looks sorta like the state seal if you close one eye and put your hand over the other.
The use of African? I don’t know, but it seems irrelevant.
The out of sequence number? Again, probably just sloppiness by the clerks back then.
Sure wish they had posted the raw scan instead of that stupid .pdf but this is all we will get folks. Let it go.

For crying out loud! There are reasons the birther conspiracy got started, and reasons it has grown. If there weren’t, the whole thing would have been confined to the crowd that believes he is an alien hybrid. The first poorly constructed BC Odumbo put out on the internet only served to add fuel to the fire. The photoshopped document released to day will do the same thing. Odumbo is a fraud, and he continues to scam America.

My Tennessee birth certificate has no hospital logo, much less footprints, but it is the original hospital issued
certificate.
The only BC with footprints I have ever seen was the
Lucas Smith purported Kenyan BC.
I am not saying, however that some hospitals do not do this.
