Adobe Acrobat Pro v. 9.0 has a "typewriter" feature. Save a *.pdf as "typewriter" compatible, and then turn on the feature and start typing away. You can superimpose Courier type on any *.pdf'd document.

The original original may or may not be available. It would appear Hawaii (as probably all states) digitized the certificates into a digital image system - likely an optical library designed to hold massive sets of digitized documents.
None of us get the actual document but we get certified copies of the original document. The scanned image from the digital library printed on security paper with embossed seals is that ‘certified copy’.
It sounds like your certified copy looks like the Nordyke twins BC. Can I ask if your copy has what I call the ‘left side bend’. Is it noticable that certificate was bound or curled as they imaged it for the certified copy they gave you?
My theory is that modern versions do not have this left side bend or left side curl. If you ordered yours today you would get one with the security paper background and flatter version of your original document printed over it. It would easier to read and have the modern anti-forgery security features.

No, those who receive citizenship by birth in the U.S. are natural-born citizens. That much hasn’t been controversial in our time. Long ago there were some arguments, about births before the 14’th Amendment, but the Amendment and the Wong Kim Ark case settled it going forward.
The long-dead theory got dug up recently just to use against Obama, and one court actually considered this very issue in an eligibility suit, Ankeny v. Daniels. The unanimous opinion of a three-judge panel of the Court of Appeals of Indiana stated: “Based upon the language of Article II, Section 1, Clause 4 and the guidance provided by Wong Kim Ark, we conclude that persons born within the borders of the United States are ‘natural born Citizens’ for Article II, Section 1 purposes, regardless of the citizenship of their parents.”
The modern consensus of the legal community goes even farther, and holds that those born outside the U.S. who receive citizenship upon birth under statute are also natural-born citizens. That issue has actually been argued in modern times, unlike the eligibility of the native-born. See Charles Gordon, ‘Who Can be President of the United States: The Unresolved Enigma,’ 28 Md. L. Rev. 1, 7-22 (1968); and Jill Pryor, ‘The Natural-Born Citizen Clause and Presidential Eligibility’, 97 Yale Law Journal 881-889 (1988). Also the United States District Court for the Northern District of California’s ruling on the motion for preliminary injunction in Robinson v. Bowen.
