Please forgive me if doing this incorrectly. This is my very first "thread" to Free Republic. I know very well the power of prayer so I come to my fellow Freepers to join in.
My four year old son has a slew of vision problems and has already had 2 eye surgeries ( on his left eye ) to remove a cataract at 6 months old, an MRI on his brain a few weeks after that and then at 3 years and one week old, he had another surgery to remove scar tissue in his lens capsule and to implant an intraocular lens.
A couple of weeks ago he had another eye movement recording to see where they should move some of his eye muscles to help correct his "null" point ( or focal point ) and to correct his head turn.
The report from the EMR was not written and given to his regular surgeon but he said, at our appointment yesterday at Childrens Hopsital that he's ready at any time to do this surgery but may recommend me to the worlds best pediatric ophthalmology surgeon for either just a second opinion or to do the surgery.No big deal if he does because it's only a 2 hour drive one way...
I know this got long but wanted to give some back ground but I'd surely appreciate any prayers you could send up for my child and his surgeon.

It sounds like you are in good hands. I am always encouraged when a doctor brings a more experienced physician and doesn’t pretend to know it all.

Prayers up...I know personally the pain of having one of your little ones be sick, having lost a 3 yr old to cancer in 1974. You would much rather it be you than them. Just know that God is in control and He loves your child even more than you do!
