It looks like preacher Harold Camping was off by about three weeks: the end of the world may very well be at hand, as President Barack Obama gave a speech completely from his notes. That's right, no teleprompter!
At a speech at Northern Virginia Community College, the President spoke in front of a group of students, no TOTUS in sight. Even more shocking: he had words written down on paper!
Almost as shocking was the absence of a prompter during Mr. Obama's meetings with Angela Merkel .
The President has heavily relied on teleprompters for almost every single speech of his Presidency, including one to a sixth grade classroom:
Could this new strategy of writing down notes and reading them, instead of reciting words off of a pane of glass, actually stick? Only time will tell.

Psst, over here, rumor around Washington is that the teleprompter has quit the administration and return to a teaching position at an unknown college. The teleprompter was last seen exiting out the backdoor of the White House in the middle of the night on Friday with bags in hand and entered a waiting car with Blackened Windows.
I wonder if TOTUS is refusing to appear with him after it caught Obama cribbing notes from his BlackBerry.

Once TOTUS gets everything it wants through arbitration, it’ll be back on the job- only slower and with more ‘attitude’.
Any video evidence of this rare phenomenon? This may be as elusive as a UFO siting, or a siting of Big Foot.
It is a great organization to which I belonged once in a previous life. In six short months, I went from rambling and stammering to being able to speak off the cuff reasonably well. I'd recommend it to anyone, even TOTUS.

He has just switched to a tiny speaker hidden in his ear with someone else feeding him the speech. I am not sure why they did not do this long ago. It would be much easier for those times when they have to have his responses look impromptu. It actually would not suprise me if he had the thing shoved far enough up his ear canal so that camera’s couldn’t pick it up.
I once had a guy on my crew who snored loudly at night. It was uncomfortable using full size foam ear plugs, so I cut a couple way down. Unfortunately when I tried to pull one of them out it got pushed further up into my ear. My wife was able to get it out with tweasers, but she could hardly see it. I almost ended up going to the doctor.
"I, uh, ummm, well, I ummm, uh, uh, I, uh, where was that piece of paper, uh I, me, me and Michelle, uh, I, ummm. Nevermind."
