I’m waiting for this “black” president to address the growing problems of “wilding” and gang violence in our cities. These problems have been there for years, bubbling beneath the surface, but, there have been many incidents recently in which the gangs are coming up out of the ghettos and committing their crimes in nicer areas of our cities.
Based on some reports, our cities are becoming cauldrons just waiting to explode. It could be a long hot summer. If we see a rerun of the race riots of the ‘60s, I wonder what the liberal response and Obama’s response would be.

Mulatto in the 50’s, in my neighborhood in upstate NY, described a light skinned black...usually female. These were the offspring of inner city black and white “encounters”. Marriages?? Nope....These were the early welfare folks.

You have totally misunderstood the magic negro discussion. It had nothing to do with “black authenticity”.
The meme was spread by a liberal black homosexual named David Ehrenstein who was sneering at the mindless desperation of those white liberals who assumed Morgan Freeman or Uncle Ben or Bojangles Robinson was about to show up and fix all their problems just by his spiritual superiority. The “magic” was always the delusion of weak-minded tingly legged whites. It never referred to black authenticity at all.
Said Ehrenstein, “Like a comic-book superhero, Obama is there to help, out of the sheer goodness of a heart we need not know or understand. For as with all Magic Negroes, the less real he seems, the more desirable he becomes. If he were real, white America couldn’t project all its fantasies of curative black benevolence on him.”
Paul Shankin’s parody for Limbaugh was very funny but it drowned out the very good points made in the L.A. Times editorial. And the “authenticity” business just gave Obama an opening to dismiss the critics as racists.
Four years later it’s still a good read.

You’re probably around the same vintage I am. We referred to blacks as Negros. I was puzzled the first time I saw one - I spent my early years in Lancaster County PA - and moved to Cleveland during grade school years. I asked my Mom about why some people were so strangely dark and she told me they were Negro. I later learned about Mulattos, High Yellow, Octaroon, Quadroon, etc. So Obama is “high yellow”....
I was horrified when I would see people publicly “necking” as we called it; I am distressed now that public sex acts, especially homosexual, are ignored in San Francisco and other places. I feel sorry for my kids; I hope things turn around before THEY have kids. They won’t be voting for Obama, I assure you...
