Not only do you have a faulty memory about how reverred Buchanan used to be, here or elsewhere ( Pat was NOT the "darling" of conservatives when FR began, nor at earlier times, no matter how many votes he may have garnered during his presidential primary run ), but you are having a major problem with remembering what was said on FR and "A FACE IN THE CROWD".

FYI...........Dusty ( a common nickname for those with the last name of Rhodes ) Rhodes was NOT the name of the character in AFITC; though two famous ones ones were a N.Y. Yankees ball player and later, a wrestler. The character in AFITC was called LONESOME Rhodes. The theme of that movie had absolutely NOTHING whatsoever to do with the main character being a politician, a VEEP candidate, nor even someone who presented himself/herself as something they aren't.

Support anyone you care to, but please refrain from posting about your "feelings", opinions, and benighted comparisons. That way, nobody will know just how misguided you are and you won't be dragging down those whom you support, on the way.

I’ll give your advice the consideration it deserves, while noting that you continually focus on the weeds as regards my reference to that movie, and not the forest. Heck, not only are you missing the forest, you’re missing the whole continent! But so what. You’re as entitled to your opinions as the rest of us mere mortals. Our opinions combined won’t even earn us the price of coffee at Starbucks.
