Many of the men on the “right” currently seeking or in politics have LITTLE in common with the men who fought WWII. Not one of the current crop today is willing to put up with the abuse WHILE STILL CHARGING ahead as Palin does. All stand in the shadows and make the occasional comment but she puts herself out there. Jan Brewer and Michele Bachmann do the same. Perhaps if today’s Republican (supposed) conservative male in the limelight would show the same fortitude as those men who fought in WWII these women might not need to.

And none of those women are making these comments. Those of us watching this play out are. Even my son who’s surrounded by brave men every single day of his life says the same thing. I’m not real thrilled that this is the way the world is right now either. Where are the men? Romney? Huntsman? Pawlenty? Newt? Sorry, that dog don’t hunt. Thank God the women do.

I was thinking she’s America’s Esther, but Deborah’s good, too.

From my prior post:

Unfortunately he will spew on rather than go away in shame as he should.

Prophetic. Even if I was twelve.

America has many Godly, courageous men leading their families and fighting for our country. Unfortunately there are very few of them stepping up to the political leadership plate. I have not seen anyone since Reagan willing to keep fighting and leading even after being savaged by Liberals and their presstitutes. Sarah has had all hell flung at her family and herself personally. Until I see some men willing to withstand the same, I can believe that Sarah has been raised up for such a time as this.

Dudes, chill out. This is just one guy’s opinion and comparisons to historical figures (even biblical ones) are made all the time. Don’t be so uptight. People probably compare her to Reagan, Thatcher and other conservative figures because of real or perceived similarities. The same with figures like Deborah, for example. They were both G*d fearing women, for example.

Only a con man would go out and run in the Presidential primaries of three different parties in one year, especially a man that has never won any election, anywhere, ever.

"What you seem to fail to realize is that, scripturally, this comparison is actually an indictment of the Republican Party."

I don't think he, nor many of us fail to realize this. They should be "indicted".....as were the Whigs.

Trademarking the Palin name was just a smart move to prevent the horde of atheistic Psycho-Lawyers who have come after that family in unprecedented fashion ever since they sensed the threat the Palin family is to their perks.

WHILE STILL CHARGING ahead as Palin does

Charging ahead on what? That should be question conservatives should be asking themselves.

Pro-choice for states, like Gerald Ford?

Supporting John McCain's reelection?

Supporting John McCain's position on immigration?

Supporting the Law of the Sea Treaty?

Pushing judicial supremacy?

Touting "feminism"?

Calling unionists her "brothers and sisters"?

Refusing to offer any opposition to the U.S. Dept. of Education and the education establishment?

Refusing to spell out any substantial portion of the federal behemoth she would like to eliminate, much less any part of it that she considers to be unconstitutional?

As in the days of Deborah, these are perilous times. Cotton candy conservatism, mere populist rhetoric, will NOT save this republic.

None of her positions that I listed above are directions I want to charge, thank you very much. And I find it sad that her followers can be led to do so along with her.

Watch. As this thread progresses...or perhaps I should say digresses...you will see her supporters defending all of that. Which is an amazing thing to see on America's premiere conservative forum.

Don't let your arrogance separate you from the real world. This current crop of men you claim is so cowardly or worthless, are the men who are still fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, I go back to Viet Nam and there were just as many brave heroes then as there are now.

Do you think you can insult and humiliate an entire Demographic into supporting your candidate? If you believe you will win elections by doing so, go ahead. Men that belong to my category will only smile while you make a complete ass out of yourself. And word travels fast among us. It's an unwritten code that we shared in our foxholes.

But go ahead anyway, exclude us from your exclusive little club. See how far that gets you.

No, I am correct, the man was desperately looking for a stage, that is how he makes his living.

Three political parties in a single year, WOW!

My wolf brother...

I compared her to our founders...who were totally “biblified”... to the max... Of course all were not believers but the majority were. Just read their writings. also ... read Sarah's books. We didn’t say she got a “vision” but God rules in the affairs of man (Daniel 5:21).. just ask Belshazzar...

If you could ever take off your Republican blinders perhaps you could learn something from the man.

The man is a con man, that, while never actually winning elections, constantly runs in them, decade after decade, as a way to make his living.
