Really? I was at the Sept. 2007 Values Voter debate in Ft. Lauderdale, an event that was heavily rigged for Huckabee, and I heard it over and over again from his supporters. Maybe they backed off subsequently when folks told them how incredibly over the top such comparisons are.
I merely pointed out that the con man, Alan Keyes had a little cult following in 2008, at least we know that he will never run for president again.
Okay. I stand corrected. Maybe he does realize it. But that doesn’t make the comparison of Palin to Deborah any more palatable.
And the first thing Deborah did was trademark her name.
Whatever.
Dr. Keyes has done the life work of deeply thinking the founding principles of our country through in a way that no one else I know of has. Thats why he can do with words what no one else can. He has so internalized these principles that they just flow as naturally from him as water springs from an artesian well. Its a truly amazing thing.
I guess you missed it...she was Moses two or three days ago.
Oh come on! This is one person’s opinion and comparisons to historical figures (even biblical ones) are made constantly. Don’t be so hypersensitive. Maybe if you didn’t seek these threads out looking for something to bitch about with your holier-than-thou attitude, you might recognize that such comparisons are prolific in literature, essays, and opinion pieces. Get over yourself.

I think that 2007 was the year that the desperate Alan Keyes fought for the Presidential nomination.
The problem was, being a desperate con man, he fought within three completely different parties for their nomination, now that takes chutzpah!
It's simply the truth, about a biblical principle.

Take a listen to that and tell me it isn't so.
Yes, she has been Lincoln, Washington, Reagan, Thatcher, (even herd one compare her to Churchill) compared to Jesus and most every saint you can mention, Joan of Arc, etc,.
But tell me this, can anyone recall any President elected to office who “Trademarked” their name prior to campaigning for office, or for that matter, served as President as such?
No, it couldn’t be all about money now, could it?
He was pwned.
Unfortunately he will spew on rather than go away in shame as he should.
Yeah. The Republican Party most definitely rejected Alan Keyes, and his message. To the extent of blackballing him and then not counting our votes here in Iowa.
And the Constitution Party was too much in the Ron Paul Republican/Libertarian/paleo-conservative/isolationist/anti-Israel vein.
So, big deal.
Wow! Sounds like somebody has some issues.
Palin and Deborah are both strong gutsy G*d fearing women, which is probably why he made the comparison. It’s not like he was comparing her to G*d, or anything like that.
What are you, twelve?
To me the trademark thing says she’s not running. It also says M*O*N*E*Y.
Well, it seem that all too many men in the Republican Party are basically a bunch of milquetoast get-along-to-get-along pushovers. Not all, of course, but quite a few. And it seems as if many of the conservatives who are willing to speak out and not give in to the threats and smears of the Left are women.
Sorry, I am not an Alan Keys cult member.
Is it that they are in need of being led by a woman, or do they just need to hear that is’s OK to be a conservative man, from a real woman?
