Last Tuesday I was on David Codrea's "War On Guns" radio program, which airs first from NBC1260 in Arizona. This link takes you to a standard "Realplayer" mp3 audio file. I'm on for ten minutes, starting at minute 28:30. Just drag the play button across. We talk about my books and the fight to preserve freedom in America from creeping state tyranny.

If you don't know, David Codrea has been one of the writers and bloggers who broke the Gunrunner/Gunwalker/Fast & Furious story to the national audience.

Whoops—that’s not a streaming link.

Anybody know how to cut that file down to size or make a link that streams it without downloading the whole file?

Unable to listen here due to dinosaur technology (get back on that wheel, you mouse!) but sharing the link.

“I won’t back down. “

What a great line to start a show with. I put the URL into the address box on FireFox. It took a minute to download then came up automatically, a 54 minute radio show.

Ten minutes is a good amount of time for this. Short and sweet.

Got my two copies of Castigo Cay yesterday (One to keep, One to give away). I am still in the first pages that were posted on the internet months ago. I am so glad to finally have the book...Of course, then there will be the what seems like forever wait for the next book.

Matt, I must say I enjoyed your interview. No BS, just straight stuff encouraging Americans to open their eyes.

Thanks Matt. I heard you a while back. I think it was a Colorado station.

Too bad they can’t let the 0 and his man Eric Holder spend a tour / equal time — as those sentenced to the Yuma territorial Prison for selling guns and alcohol to the native Americans.Sheriff Joe could find suitable accomodations I’m sure.

Matt, you should spend more time with David and Mike VDB - get more details of the Fast and Furious Fiasco - turn it into another good book :-)

Btw - I just finished the Kindle version of the last book in your Enemies Trilogy.
I am now completely hooked on Matt Bracken - 4 books down - when will we see the next one????

Sockmonkey, I think you're going to like the book. Travis did an excellent job on this and it was a great read.

Looking forward to the next installment!

Great job Travis! Now to listen to the radio clip...

I’m taking a little break between books. It’s very nice to not need to go deep down into the mental mine shaft in my isolated writing cubicle, and try to come up with a few new pages of deathless prose every day. Especially, when on most days, you create no new pages at all, but just revise and polish what came before. I feel like my mind is almost turned off or in neutral. I’ve written more than a million words in those four novels, every phrase studied and recut like a raw gem. It’s a lot, let me tell you. My next will be another Dan Kilmer, so it should not take 3 years, the time it took for each of the Enemies trilogy. Castigo Cay was two years, and it did all of the Dan Kilmer setup. Maybe a year and a half, that is the fastest I can even imagine writing a novel. I don’t know how authors can churn out a novel a year. Other than using paid hacks, the way Patterson et all do it. But I’d never do that.

I’ve usually been on the radio for 1/2 or a full hour. Ten minutes is perhaps better. It was framed very well, and DC is a real pro.

Yikes, I envision a Matthew Bracken fan fiction site where freepers pen little stories with their own personae woven in to entertain themselves between books.

One of the bad guys will be named Snape, who is actually a rogue ATF agent, and then there will be Hermione, a cool English chick Dan meets when they are both on the run.

Hi Matt,

I want you to know how much I appreciate you applying your great talent to writing these books. I am buying them for our family. I know one of my sons will love them; the other one needs insight into America beyond academia's ignorance - where he's been stationed for too long - working on his PhD in bio-engineering. He'll read them for me; he's a good son.

Thanks again for your work, Matt, and godspeed in selling these books all over our country and Britain. Males really need books to read. Most are written for socialist girls now.

Sara
