McCain currently on Hannity, talking nonsense

Posted on 07/18/2011 2:00:04 PM PDT by cotton1706

He's saying that McConnell's plan would be a last resort so we don't go into default blah blah blah.

Newsflash to Senator Dupe: if it's a last resort, the democrats will allow nothing else to pass so it becomes the only option.

He knows this of course. But he does his little deceptive dance anyway.

Is McCain stupid? He sure sounds like it. Makes me almost glad (almost) that he is not President.

He kept saying that he will work as hard as he possibly can. Well we’ve seen the record. That’s not very hard. He’s never on the conservative side and never will be. He’s shaking in his boots that the government will shut down and we’ll go into default, blah blah blah. The same old crap.

Let’s try something different. Lets let it happen. The Congress doesn’t pay people, the executive does. If the House votes to give money and the senate refuses to accept or even vote on it, or amend it and send it back to the house, then the burden rests with the senate.

Stop playing this silly game. Force Obama to do his job and prioritize. Force the senate to act.

McCain is an idiot. “I will fight as hard as I can for Cut, Cap, Balance...” Yet he just told Sean that it won't pass! So what good is his fighting for it when he knows it won't pass? Political BS. Rope a DOPE.

This is GOP caving. Scared of 1995. This is the end of the GOP. If this Mitchy bill passes. I will vote 3rd party just to punish the GOP. I will let the Dems run everything. I'll move to Canada.

I've been around him in AZ and in TX a few times. My conclusion is that he is nuts. He is way "out there" in his head. You cannot reason with him. He decides something and that is that.

His wife, FYI, is stunning and a pretty nice person. I have no idea what she sees in him.

McConnell, McCain & the boys want to give Obama “discretion” on raising the debt ceiling as he wishes?

Give him and the Democrats an inch, and they take a foot. (Give him an inch, and he thinks he’s a ruler.)

RINO’s get your own hands out of the cookie jar, speak up something SANE, and take the steps that save the republic! Even if it hurts! Washington and the boys at Valley Forge were hurting, too!!

Gotta hand it to Hannity ... he stood firm against the Republican elite position maintained by McCain:

1. Going along with the McConnell plan will effectively cede congressional authority to the president (and we know what he's likely to do);

2. This is not what Republicans were elected to do; and,

3. The backlash from conservatives if this goes down is going to be severe (fair warning).

McCain's position is that it would be such a catastrophe if the government "shuts down" -- that the Republicans will take all the blame -- that if it comes to that he's supporting the McConnell plan ... the alternatives will not pass --- to which Hannity replied, "It sounds like the fix is in."

Hannity is a dirtbag. He is one of the main reasons we have Senators like McCain and McConnell.

He has dumbed down conservatism so much people think raising spending = conservative.

Here's what needs to happen:

1. Vote McConnell Plan down— get it out of the way.
2. Pass an $800 billion increase to borrowing limit, tied to $900 billion real budget cuts.
3. Tell Dick Obozo, “Sign it, or We'll see you at ‘Armageddon’.”

Yeah, like 1995-96 was such a disaster where the GOP won TWO senate seats and lost a measly five seats in the House. This being the era where FR was just about in its infancy. The voters are more informed today which can only help us not hurt us.

The only reason he gained traction was Sarah Palin. McCain wasn’t popular, we ALL knew he was a RINO. No one would vote for him, before Palin. I voted for Palin, not McCain. McCain is irrelevant. He was our best at the time.

No more. We all want a TRUE BLUE conservative. No Gingrich, no Pawlenty, no Rudy.

Enough, we’re through with this crap. Hey, lurker journalists, we aren’t buying your crack reporting anymore. Your ratings are failing. We’ll do it our way. We’re done supporting you. Join us or fail.

I just ripped the local GOP fundraiser caller guy, he didn’t have counter and ended, ok, bye. Poor guy, I didn’t feel bad, one second. He bought the GOP line. The tea party is strong. I have hope. We’ll see. We don’t need the gop, they are Blockbuster.

Conservatives are winning, and this is good! America will win. Isn’t our bottom line, it’s THERE bottom line, and it fails.

America will win!

I have stopped listening to Sean. I've stopped because he is a sympathizer to RINOs like McCain when he speaks directly with them. He too often takes the words of the RINOs he interviews as true and well-meaning and does not prove them out to be what they really are!

He was useful at one time; he isn't anymore because his interviews are often nothing more than tacit endorsements. I don't 'agree' any more, I don't compromise any more, I don't listen any more.

U.S. Debt Ceiling Increase Remains Unpopular With Americans

More are concerned about higher level of spending than risk of economic crisis

by Lydia Saad

PRINCETON, NJ — Despite agreement among leaders of both sides of the political aisle in Washington that raising the U.S. debt ceiling is necessary, more Americans want their member of Congress to vote against such a bill than for it, 42% vs. 22%, while one-third are unsure. This 20-percentage-point edge in opposition to raising the debt ceiling in Gallup’s July 7-10 poll is slightly less than the 28-point lead (47% vs. 19%) seen in May.

Candidates Leave Campaign Trail, Head to DC for Bailout Vote

Oct. 1, 2008

Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain left the campaign trail so they could return to Washington in time for the vote.

McCain projected confidence on the bill’s passage during a speech at the Harry S. Truman Library in Independence, Mo. He said Congress has “awakened to the danger,” and predicted doom if the bill should fail.

“If the financial rescue bill fails in Congress yet again,” McCain said, “the present crisis will turn into a disaster.”
