So, I guess we can conclude that a revolution is only valid if individual liberty is revoked/denied and millions are murdered.

Not sure ‘Doc’ considered himself a Republican. He was a Georgia boy by way of Texas. The Earps were for sure. Northerners, Jim & Virgil fighting for the North in the Civil War. The dad fighting in the Blackhawk War. Doc affiliated with them because of his friendship with Wyatt Earp. And Doc wasn’t a cattle thief as were the opposition. Yep, the problems in Tombstone pretty much split among party lines back then (as today), even down to the two newspapers.
When you get down and dig, I find it weird how things back then were the same as they are today. Especially here in Arizona.
Yeah, I’ve thought that as well. I’m a Civil War and American West nut, and have read a lot over the years. That’s why I was interested in your post. Politics played a roll throughout history just as it does today. We don’t always think of it that way, but it’s true. The same was true for the Lincoln County War in New Mexico, the Johnson County War in Wyoming, the Indian Wars. Politics was the underlying factor.
I am still wondering if Nadin is related to Mika. Their last names are very uncommon.
