From what I can see as an outsider, the U.S. government has within its desposal the means to meet all its loan payments. The U.S. will only default on its loan obligations if it WANTS to default on its loan obligations.

This MSM propaganda about defaulting on August 2nd is a crock of caca.

(As a protest demonstration, everyone should call up MasterCard and reduce their credit limits.)

White House spokesman Jay Carney said, “The consequences … of failing to raise the debt ceiling would be Armageddon-like in terms of the economy.”

I’m reminded of all the hype and horror and catastrophe that was blatted out over the airwaves as we approached New Years Eve 1999. Eveything was going to come to a grinding halt, etc., etc., blah - blah - blah when the clock ticked through Midnight and the year 2000 began!

I don’t believe a word of the lying drivel being pumped out by those overpaid cretins! I just wish we had someone in charge who had the stones to quit negotiating, ride this out, stare Obluffer, Reid, McConnell, et al down, and show them up to be the liars and fakes that we all KNOW they are!

Think of Tuesday as balanced budget day. If the debt ceiling is not raise, then the US government can not borrow and thus must run a balanced budget.

I am not a huge balanced budget, but that is what a binding debt ceiling means. [I am not a huge balanced budget guy but this amount of borrowing can not go on and on.]
