Obama Continues to Blame Bush For U.S. Fiscal Disorder

I've lost count as to how many times I've heard Obama pull the "it's Bush's fault" line, but what gets me the most about the President's economic diversions is when he blames our abominable fiscal house on the Bush administration.

Now, by no means was Bush a fiscal saint, nor were his predecessors, as they have racked up trillions over the past decades. But we are now $14.4 trillion in the hole - and guess what, $4 trillion of that astronomical number has already been incurred by Mr. Obama. Hotair has more:

"In 31 months of Barack Obama’s presidency, according to the Treasury and CBS News, the US has added $4 trillion to its national debt. That approaches the presidential record set by George W. Bush of $4.9 trillion, but there’s a catch to that. Bush set that record in two terms - in 96 months."

Indeed, with a mere third of the time Bush spent in office, Obama has racked up almost as much as Bush did in eight years - and Bush's fiscal buildup set a presidential record. Hotair also notes that while Bush added a skyrocketing $51 billion per month to the federal debt, Obama spikes the federal debt a whopping $129 billion every month.

CBS reports further on the Obama "blame Bush" campaign:

"[Obama blames] the recession, and its resulting decrease in tax revenue on businesses, for making fewer sales, and more employees being laid off. He says the recession also resulted in more government spending due to increased unemployment insurance payments, subsidies to farms and funding of infrastructure programs that were part of his stimulus program."

But still, Obama tells the American people to ignore his fiscal insanity, while of course, emphasizing that Bush's debt is blood money that went to slaughtering thousands of Iraqi citizens.

Sorry Mr. President, I don't think this argument is going to fly in 2012.

Somehow, BO gets away with blaming congress, but it’s the president’s fault(as in Bush) as long as it’s not “president” BO. If Bush gets blamed, then so does BO. Otherwise he can shut up and blame Bush’s congress beginning in 2006 when Reid and Pelosi took over and everything started going to hell.
