So if the many, many wanted it, then why did MORE many, many force t/rick perry to reverse it? Are you always this illogical?
And... you doesn’t has to call me sir. Honest. ROFL

Oooh! Ooooh!! I can answer that. I was one of them that didn't want it. Furious about it. You see, we didn't know what we were talking about. We didn't know it was optional, and we didn't know if it was safe. We didn't know a thing about it...like you.

Then, after it was all withdrawn, we started hearing how if we DID want it now, it would cost $365 because insurance wouldn't pay for it if it wasn't mandated, and MOST people couldn't afford it.

Again, I know you fanatics aren’t going to listen to this, but this is a terrible way to win support for her. Ask, someone, anyone you know whose job it is to sell.

Encourage her to enter the race, then when she does, write threads about why she’s better than Perry. If you care about her, YOU ARE MAKING PEOPLE HATE HER doing it this way.
_____________________________________________________________

The above is nonsense, hence my response to you.

First, I am for Palin but many of the other posters on this thread pointing out bush2’s awful record are not.The purpose isn’t to win support for Palin or any other candidate.

My purpose here is to shine a light on bush2’s record. Even if Palin doesn’t run I will not vote for Perry in the primary, I will look for a good tea party patriot candidate that can win instead.

Pointing out your opponents record is an excellent, effective and necessary tactic.

Tearing down the false image being put forth by your opponent works, always.

This is why, despite what you people like you claim to think of them, hundreds of millions of dollars are spent on “negative” ads each election.

No one minds you pointing out Perry's record. In 22 years he has made his share of mistakes. What is unacceptable are the misrepresentations of his record. It is with malice these things are presented out of context. His record is long, and it's easy to put things into the wrong context. There's a word for it. It's called a "lie."

As for making people hate Palin, I still like her. She will be endorsing Perry in September and receiving an appointment for it once he wins the White House. In that capacity she will be able to get seasoned for a legitimate presidential run in the future. I look forward to that time. For now, Perry 2012!!!

There. Fixed it. "For the race, everything. For the gringos, nothing."

Well, NO, you didn’t quite fix it, you just changed it to suit YOU, sir bigot.

RowdyFCC, you are pathetically ignorant; flat, stinking, stupid ignorant.

That isn't a personal attack; it's just a fact that you have demonstrated, over and over.

Do a google search on La Raza, and read for yourself what their motto is.
"For The Race, everything; for those outside The Race, nothing."

“She will be endorsing Perry in September and receiving an appointment for it once he wins the White House.”

I don’t think so. The follow puts cold water on your idea. Another thing quit making things up. :)

“I was quite sure that he wasn’t going to run, because he was adamant until about four months ago that he wasn’t going to run,” she said. But she was quick to add that Perry’s change of heart was fine. “I was surprised that he had changed his position on that, but I’m glad that he’s going to be in there.”

A reporter asked whether, if Obama had committed that sort of flip-flop, she would be more critical, she laughed. “I probably would, to tell you the truth,” she said…
Even with Perry in the race, she said, “I see room in the field. Definitely.”

“If at the end of the line he’s the one left standing, I would be extremely enthused about him because I’m a believer in ABO – anybody but Obama. So, absolutely. But there’s still a long time in this process,” Palin said, adding that Perry’s entry doesn’t affect her decision making.

It seems to me that one of the main reasons that our country is dying is because guys like Perry are afraid to speak up for truth and the Constitution. Instead, they pander to leftist and criminal elements, which only embolden them. The fact that so many Texans are now, yes, racists, is the result of Perry, Bush and Democrats capitulating at every turn. And that’s why, if we are to save America, we must strenuously reject pols such as Rick Perry. Bob

What I haven’t quite understood or been able to understand in the past two years is: how does one become a “member of the tea party?” Which tea party? There are several groups that seem to have adopted variations on the name for commercial purposes.

I am on a whole lot of political email lists and have yet to be solicited for tea party membership. I’ve attended a few tea party events and even at those was never solicited to join and become a member of any organization call the ‘tea party.’ I’ve never been polled as a ‘tea party member’ or supporter, about who my chosen candidate(s) might be. So who is speaking for the ‘tea party’ and which ‘tea party?’

I actually thought the ‘tea party’s’ effectiveness was its lack of organization, its total grass roots participation, its lack of definition; more of a ‘movement’ than organization. I never felt I had to be in one candidate’s camp or another to be a ‘tea partier.’

Does anyone know who the tea party is, its organization, officers, website, etc? I’m not talking about the Tea Party Express or Tea Party Patriots, or other derivative organization. What/who is THE tea party? And how does one become a member?

Defend it. If you can’t, useless, mocking responses might be fun, but they are irrelevant. Defend your position, or stop making a bad thing worse. Do you think you are helping Rick Perry by making him appear to be a crook?
With supporters like you, he would end up in jail.

After 11 years of reforms by Perry, Texas still ranks at the bottom of many educational indicators. Texas has the fewest percentage of adults with high school diplomas, compared to the other U.S. states.

As a resident of the People's Socialst RepubliK of Illannoyed, I can *factually* tell you that Illinois ranks *worse* than Texas. Here in Illinois, 3 out of 4 kids graduating high school are NOT ready for College, that according to a Chicago Tribune front page article from just last week. (This is why I send my kids to PRIVATE school here...)

Can Texas beat that?

One of the perpetrators of this fiasco was none other than Obama's secretary of education, Arne Duncan who drove the Chicago Public School system right into the ditch. As if it wasn't bad enough with a barely 70% graduation rate when Duncan took over, he drove the rate down into the low 50% range.

Texas is also ranked low in high school graduation rate.

Once again, see Illinois and the damage Arne Duncan, backed by Barack Hussein Obama have done. Surely, Texas can be no worse than it is here..

Texas is 49th in verbal SAT scores in the nation and 46th in average math SAT scores. Can we trust him to reform Washington?

Oddly, that's where Illinois is. Sure you aren't confusing Illinois with Texas?

Look, I'm not the world's biggest Rick Perry fan, I'm just starting to 'warm up to the guy' because frankly, I've become an "ABBO" (Any Body But Obama) kinda guy. I can't imagine someone doing worse damage to this country than Obama has.

Who gave the following answers in an interview that touched on the subject of illegal immigrants?

Q:  Do you think they all should be deported?

A:&bnsp; There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

*   *   *

Q:  To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?

A:  I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

I sounds good to say you will vote for the most electable candidate, but in reality, as I have stated before, if the candidate who is most electable is not a conservative then we are screwed either way. If Obama, or a non-conservative is elected in 2012 this nation probably won’t survive. Show me where Perry is a true conservative and a patriot that stands up for the constitution as written by the founders. He seems more like a liberal lite John McCain type to me.

It's called "Survival of the Fittest."

Lots of established posters have got the ZOT when it came out they weren't really conservative, or were seriously intent on undermining one or more planks of the conservative platform.

This is NOT a GOP site, it is a conservative site.

Classic mistake, to think that if someone has been on this site ten years, that they have blue hair.

Second mistake, is to disallow the wisdom which comes with either age or experience.

Third mistake it to abrogate to yourself the role of arbitor of respect: just because you are behaving badly enough to have completely EARNED the contempt directed at you, doesn't mean that the people despising you are doing it just because you threaten them.

They're doing it because you are merely a troll, and it's gotten obvious.

Cheers!
