Ok I re-read the first paragraph I guess I see what you are saying but I would still disagree with the analogy. For one it was all or nothing. He did not raise anything, he eliminated, defeated it.

On your other points..Jesus always called for repentance as in go and “Sin no more” Love does not equal forgiveness, you err in that. God does not forgive everyone. He does love everyone.

There are plenty of other passages that would contradict acceptance of a brother who was living in open sin. 1st Cor. Chapter 5 for instance. This is an example of the church being too forgiving or tolerant of a brother and being chastised for it.

I know you are trying to say a good thing. I just have trouble trying to relate spiritual things to things I perceive as negative like the debt.

And by the way, it is not radical to say free but conditional. The conditional part is you must accept it.
