There may be many millions of people who aren’t Muslims who hate America as a country—but they don’t have any wish to kill individual Americans. For some reason it’s mostly Islam that produces fanatics who think that killing innocent people (especially Americans or Israelis) is highly meritorious and will be rewarded by God. I don’t think that is true of the majority of Muslims, but with such a huge number of Muslims in the world, even a small percentage means potentially a lot of wannabe killers.
