Kapiolani Medical Center Confirms 'African' Never Used On Birth Certificates in 1961 or Now
Birther Report ^ | SEPTEMBER 14, 2011 | Birther Report

We spent a very long (and hot) day talking with many people on the island and filming several scenes with the “big check” that will be compiled into a video once we get home. There was one conversation, however, that I want to share with you tonight. We spent at least a couple hours at the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children today. I got a call this morning from a reporter with the Honolulu Civil Beat who wanted to interview us, so he met us at the Medical Center. His story should run tomorrow.

After that interview, we went into the records office, and Miki asked to file a form to get her son's birth records. While she was filling out the form, I happened to overhear a woman who was sitting at a desk say something about the “race” field on a birth certificate she was preparing. I asked her if this was the office that responsible for filling out the birth certificate information for babies born there, and she said that it was.

‘” I asked, “So, the word ‘African’ wouldn’t have been used, because that is a nationality...”

African is a nationality?

What nation would that be?

Right, “African” is a continentality. And that isn’t even a word.

trumandogz - African is a nationality?

Ellendra - Right, “African” is a continentality.

It's like calling someone a European.

It is now, and it's a perfectly fine word. I propose entering continentality in the FReeper Lingo Glossary (though I can't recall who administers that).

No, that forged paper he was flapping around in front of the tv cameras never saw the inside of the HDOH. The guy in the white hut basement or wherever the computer dummie was hidden will be under the bus or worse.

Exactly. Just more proof that African wouldn't have been used, just like European wasn't, and isn't used.

I like Australian. It’s a nationality AND a continentality.

I was born in 1969 in New Mexico. One parent is listed as “Spanish”; the other is listed as “Anglo”. Negro was the term used in the 60s even if it is not PC today. The forger betrayed himself with the bogus”African “ classification. Even the show Mad Men correctly used the term negro to reflect the term of the period of the early 60s

When he got to Kapiolani Clinic for Women and Children, the attending physician scratched his head trying to figure out how to record 'race' on the form; hapa haole or hapa popolo.

Tutu was a typical white women, the mother wasn't and the father was absent. So....what to do?

Chances are all of this never happened in Hawaii, just a convenient fabrication developed later.
