Iran hails ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protests says it will lead to U.S. downfall

“Occupy Wall Street” and associated protests in U.S. cities will usher in the American equivalent of the “Islamic awakening” in the Middle East and lead to the downfall of capitalism, a senior Iranian military officer said at the weekend.

Another top security official also predicted the protests would result in the collapse of the U.S. political system.

And Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took the opportunity to call for the current world order to be replaced by the rule of the messianic Shi’ite figure known as the 12th imam, prophesied to emerge at a time of global chaos.

I have to agree with PART of his statement -- It'll be the DOWNFALL of the Obummer administration -- especially if CAIN was the nominee.

Obama already established the precedent: mobs in the street = time for regime change. A Muslim despot could translate one of his speeches (e.g. where he demands that Mubarak step down), and simply substitute in Obama’s name, where needed, and demand that he step down. The mobs have spoken!

Like a hammer looking for a nail, Muslim fanatics see everything that happens, especially if it has negative connotations for the U.S., as leading to the ‘12th Imam’s’ appearance and global rule by Islam so Ahmadinejad was just telling Muslims what they want to hear. Yeah, its fantastical ‘religious’ babble but millions of Muslims totally buy into this stuff just as millions of Christians believe in the eventual Second Coming of Jesus. The difference is that Iran would like to hasten their mystical Imams appearance with a nuclear war while Christians are content to peacefully wait on God’s timetable for Jesus to come again. The inescapable reality is that, like it or not, we live in interesting times.
