Occupy wall street suffers more police brutality from the wheels of NYPD mechanized units. Only this time they attack the legal observers there to protect the protestors.

TWO Views:

1) YouTube

2) Vimeo

Gosh, I hope the poor guy survives.

I actually don't care if he's okay. If he has a broken leg it's his own fault.

I don't care what happens to any of the miserable parasites in NY or any of the other places they are currently dirtying.

I saw that on SeeBS tonight and it sure looked to me like a setup. It is possible that his foot got run over but then it looked like he intentionally moved his leg under the scooter.

Of course I think the cops look like idiots using scooters. If you want to move protesters, at least use a harley.

Wait, If I saw this correctly the guy got his foot run over by a motor scooter going about 2 miles an hour...

This is even an incident worthy of news coverage?

How obvious can you get. A staged event.

I would have to see the X-rays before in believe this guys leg was broken.

If he was an observer what was he observing when the scooter cop was blowing his little horn and the idiot couldn’t get out of the way? You can hear the horn long before the incident. Nothing but a set-up.

Wow...talk about a MISLEADING title....WTF?

The guys was rolling around on the ground, screaming before the scooter even showed up on scene.

And then when the cop walk-rolled his scooter to the guy, the guys legs were NOT run over...they were moving around NEAR the scooter.

And again, must one point out more media than protestors here?

I call ATTENTION WHORE BS, more than anything. Jeesh

Of course I think the cops look like idiots using scooters. If you want to move protesters, at least use a harley.

A heavy motorcycle is harder to use in slow speed, stop and go, mount and dismount scenario. A guy dropped his BMW (I think) bike in front of my house some time ago, and it was hard for us both to raise it. An LEO in a densely populated city doesn't need a boat anchor, he needs a vehicle that he can drop and lift all by himself. It also helps if the vehicle is not too loud.

With regard to "looking like an idiot," I believe this concern is not even on the radar of most LEOs. Staying safe is the priority #0; a vehicle that won't crush you if a protester pushes you is a good start.

Funny how they avoided the TEA party rallies like the plague, and then ridiculed with their opinion that "a dozen or so" showed up in DC

................fast forward to the current 'Rat talking points that this same TEA Party totally controls the Republican Party.

Yeah, a little misleading. That is what was being reported at the time. The NLG observer that I have contact with will not discuss the details for ‘legal reasons.’ He was walking within 10’ of this incident.

For a “legal observer” to become part of the theatrical movement reflects poorly on the concept of legal observers. We have his name, it might be worth reporting to the bar (as if they will do anything other than ignore it).

Many years ago, I had a Chief of Police in a city I lived in express interest in recruiting me as a police officer. The prospect of having to deal with juvenile theatrics like this is part of why I declined.

And then when the cop walk-rolled his scooter to the guy, the guys legs were NOT run over...they were moving around NEAR the scooter.

I watched the video; at that speed the scooter will not even run over someone's leg. A leg is a sufficiently large object, and scooter's wheels are small. Anyone who ever rode scooters knows that. (The reason for that is geometry.) The scooter will simply stop; it would take some power from the engine to actually climb over the leg - and once you are over the scooter will run like a bat from hell, with the engine's power now not needed to lift half of the scooter off the ground. That acceleration is not in evidence.

That's why the LEO just put the scooter on the kickstand and dismounted - he knew that both wheels are on the ground and they haven't ran over anyone's leg. The guy was quick to move his leg under the scooter, but that's not a crime.

This was staged to bring attention to the cause, and it worked - the YouTube is full of comments of other hippies that want the LEO drawn and quartered - apparently for attempting to investigate why a man is screaming.

I think the indecision of the mayor will lead to bigger problems, and soon. Protesters can't stay in the holding pattern forever, especially when the winter starts. They will be inventing a casus belli; this is just one weak attempt at that. It will take just one Molotov cocktail or some gunshots (merely for the noise) to turn this mess into a worse kind of a mess.

it’s high time the cop on the left starting using those zip cuffs in his hand. Businesses in the area are being forced to close their doors. If this goes on to long they will be closed for good.

As for the idiot on the ground. It’s the middle of the street. That little segway scooter looking thing (to call it a motorcycle is an insult to motorcycles)can’t weight but 500 pounds with the rider.

It’s staged from the get go.I count 4 camera men in the photo plus the one taking it. I am sure there was more out of the shot.
