Obama 44%, Cain 38% OCT 25, 2011 • BY JEFFREY H. ANDERSON The latest Rasmussen poll of likely voters shows that, over the past week, the gap between President Obama and Herman Cain has swung 8 points in Obama’s favor.

In a poll released shortly before the last Republican presidential debate, Rasmussen showed Cain leading Obama by 2 percentage points in a head-to-head matchup (43 to 41 percent). This week’s poll, taken after that debate and after Cain’s abortion comments late last week, shows Obama now leading by 6 points (44 to 38 percent).

Among independents, Cain was ahead by 19 points last week (48 to 29 percent), but that gap has now vanished —

Probably just Barry’s “kill bump” from Gadhafi. Nothing that is going to last until November 2012.

People are easily swayed by the MSM to this day.

Obama will never get less than 40%, even if he ate a baby in prime time on national TV for Halloween and prayed for the nation to practice voodoo.

Are Cain’s people still happy with the ‘fry the mexicans on the fence ‘til their eyes pop out’ position stance?

Hello?

We have an election to win here, and we do that by ATTRACTING votes.

You make too much sense... You must be a troll. Only we can lose this election. I like Cain, but he cannot win.

You too? Maybe it’s Karl Rove. We should be so thankful to be in his presence.

Of course Herman Cain can’t win, despite holding Obama to under 50 percent as an incumbant.

I want Cain or Perry to win. I will support the one most likely to win.

My friends and I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY.
I will not settle for a RINO again.
The Republicans have found their Dukakis.

Cain is THAT close to Obama, even after the beating he has taken in the MSM for the last two weeks about his 9-9-9 plan? I’m thrilled !

I smell a rino elitist on this thread.

All I know about Hildy is from what she has posted. She has posted a lot of negative stuff about Mr. Cain lately.

On Gingrich...What do you think of Gingrich? He was the most impressive live speaker. He is always the smartest guy in the room

On Palin switching from Republican to Conservative on Facebook... Here’s a newsflash..the Republican Party does not care.

On Perry... He will be known as Bush light.

On Cain... I was at the debate last week and had the opportunity to speak with John Fund of the Wall Street Journal. He looked me in the eye and told me that he has known Herman Cain for 15 years and that he is NOT Presidential.

ON Romney... She says she is not a supporter, but she thinks he is the one who can win... If Romney is the nominee he will destroy Obama. I think she is an "establishment Republican".
