The Mummy Retorts (Jews or Freemasons)
Belmont Club ^ | November 11, 2011 | Richard Fernandez

Egyptian authorities closed the Great Pyramids after receiving reports that Jews or Freemasons might attempt to harness the mysterious powers inherent in them by performing a mysterious ceremony “at 11:11 A.M. on Nov. 11, 2011.” Fortunately, they were thwarted. When the danger had passed the Egyptians spoke out with relief.

Speaking by phone from the pyramids after 11:11 had passed, al-Asfar said he’d seen nothing out of the ordinary. “Everything is normal,” he said. “The only thing different is the closure of the Khufu pyramid.”

The Egyptian authorities were making the wrong associations. It is to the name “Carter” that these mysterious monuments must forever be linked. There is for example, Howard Carter, discoverer of Tutankhamun’s tomb. It is said that the British archaeologist brought upon himself the curse of the pharoahs for daring to defile the ancient burial place. Many of those associated with the Tutankhamun expedition died in strange circumstances shortly thereafter.

A lot of distracting fluff, but nothing acknowledging the almost solid small-o orthodox Christian unity in repudiating that spiritual system.

Indeed, if a tenet of Masons is to accept all good (using bolds the way you did) men, then I must be a bad man. I'm copacetic with that accusation, coming as it does from earth, not heaven. I am not here primarily to be an illustrious citizen of terra firma, but as a sojourner to a promised heaven.

It's not a "spiritual system";no matter what you claim.

I didn't post any "fluff", but I DID post unassailable facts.

We get it...........you hate and fear the Masons and I do remember you from other ignorant, sophistic, puerile anti-Masonic posts in the past. But for you to believe THIS nonsensical MUSLIM drivel, is just mind boggling!

There is NOT,by-the-by, "almost solid small-o orthodox Christian unity in repudiating that spiritual system"! Yes, Roman Catholicism now forbids their membership from being Masons ( and started their own version;THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, as a distraction/alternative ) after being talked into it. And it's a long, involved story, but if you want those facts, I will give them to you.

Methodists, Episcopalians, and Presbyterians aren't against the Masons. If you want proof of that,I'll supply it.

But YOU have done nothing but post unadulterated codswallop,so you haven't a leg to stand on!

And just WHO said that YOU aren't a "good" man?

Oh yes............that would be YOU; by implication and inference. You must have an extremely guilty conscience.

Indeed, I would not be surprised that if you go far enough Arminian, then you get your supply of “good men” that you need, hence Methodists and Episcopalians, who are not usually known today for their fervor for the bible.

Approaching the Calvinist axis makes it more likely for one to follow a biblical doctrine that men are born bad, sinners in need of salvation. If Masons made it a point that they want “saved sinners” rather than “good men” they might be worth a second look. If you think I have an unusually “guilty” conscience (and in fact that would put me in company with Paul, who well after his conversion called himself the “worst” (or chief) of sinners), I think you have an unusually “whitewashed” conscience. My conscience constantly needs blood washing, the blood of the Lamb of Calvary. God says in his Word, that I take seriously and believe, that nothing else will do, not even for the tiniest transgression. Because God is interested in creating of me a heavenly creature for heaven — not for earth.

I think the Roman Catholics weren’t so stupid in pushing their Knights of Columbus parachurch organization. Evangelical churches have “men’s clubs” which have no extrabiblical rituals. Sometimes you get things like Promise Keepers that more or less succeed in being trans-denominational. None put a system of spirituality over the gospel that you will never in a million years get out of the bible, or at most, from duly constituted church authorities (and here’s where denominations disagree in particulars if not in principle).

J. S. M. Ward, the author of several standard Masonic works, defines religion as “a system of teaching moral truth associated with a belief in God” and then declares: “I consider Freemasonry is a sufficiently organized school of mysticism to be entitled to be called a religion.” He goes on to say: “I boldly aver that Freemasonry is a religion, yet in no way conflicts with any other religion, unless that religion holds that no one outside its portals can be saved” (Freemasonry: Its Aims and Ideals, pp. 182, 185, 187).

Okay, let me put this all in perspective for you.

The Boy Scouts is a world wide secular organization.

It has its own "rites" and rituals.

They take boys of every race and religion; even those with NO religion, as it began as a way to train boys to be men,in a quasi military type of environment. This has changed somewhat, over the century plus it has been in existence, but I do hope that you're following the jist of this.

Now you're besmirching Methodists, Episcopalians, and GOD only knows who else? Anyone and everyone with whom you do not share 100% views on what is GODLY/Christian?

Then WHY are you here on this site, allowing yourself to be contaminated by hundreds, if not thousands of posters who don't share all of your views? And yes, there's a Presbyterian minister here, who is also a Mason!

The Masons are a secular, fraternal, and charitable organization.

The Knights of Columbus was formed to give Catholics a fraternal and charitable organization, in lieu of the Masons, because even though the church had forbidden the flock from being Masons, many were still keeping their membership/joining it. I'd give you the exact, factual history of these things; however, I doubt that you would read it, care, and I don't want to waste any more time nor bandwidth on you......you who not only post to me out in the open, but also feel the need to write me private letters about this topic, impugning me and Uriah Heapishly being arrogant and 'umble, all at the same time.

Wouldn't you be happier posting to FR's religion section?

That happens to be one man's benighted opinion.

If you tell me which Christian sect you belong to, I'm certain that I would be able to come up with all kinds of things you would disagree with, that they had said and/or written.

Nobody cares one whit about your private notes with other posters and should you post anything you have written to me, or I to you, it will be cause to unleash the hounds upon you.

We’ve got a “live one” here, who believes that Masons are “evil” and that Freemasonry is a religion.

This is part of the second unwanted FRmail letters this poster has written to me and now posted. It wasn't enough for him to debate me on this thread, oh no; he also had to write me two letters, berate me and impugn me, and show off his condescending, insulting handiwork in public.

And FWIW, he wrote to me, I did NOT "contact" him privately, first; though I do admit to replying, civilly, to his first letter.

Anyhow, bye from this topic, and I won’t let myself get baited back to it a second time. Brick walls are not worth my time. (And yes, Christ does condescend.)

Hey nop. Did I miss a good old fashioned witch hunt going on on FR tonight? Man..I'm always miss the fun..

BTW..I'm dabbling a little bit of the "mysteries" today myself, with a little eye of the Newt, bubble, bubble boil and trouble. Yep, watched the debate tonight. Newt won again and the moderators gave me indigestion so I needed Alka-Seltzer.

About Freemasonry being a religion...ROTFL! I once knew a Mason who told everyone he had to frequently visit the the G-ds of the water closet so I'm thinking yeah man, just put two and two together and bingo! Speaking of Bingo..our lodge had a bean supper this past 11/11/11. It was a real blowout.

Hi old friend! :-)

Yes, you kinda missed it, as it began last night, but someone escalated it today, so I thought I'd call in a few old friends to have a laugh and join in the "fun".

LOL.........three good ones, in the same post! You're in fine fettle, even though that debate ( grilling more like, from someone who imagines himself to be a member of the Spanish Inquisition !) was a mess.

Newt always shines in these things; it's a pity that he doesn't live up to his calling, when he does have power, though.

You forgot Mozart and that Laura Ingalls Wilder of Little House on the Prairie was an Eastern Star....just saying.

I like classical music, old movies and mushy sentimental TV about clean living and happy families, so sue me.

"Newt always shines in these things; it's a pity that he doesn't live up to his calling, when he does have power, though. "I'm about to forgive him for his back stabbing ways..not ready just yet. He could be VP if under check of the CIC. That brain has to be used.
