Ginger White, who today announced that she had a thirteen-year affair with Herman Cain, was the defendant in a libel suit this year. A judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff, Kimberly Bay, and stated that Ms. White had falsely libeled Ms. Bay. Ms. White reportedly lost the suit because she did not even bother responding to the case.
Ms. Bay had also sought a temporary stalking protective order against Ms. White, citing harassing emails, texts, and defamation of character. This case, however, was dismissed.
When asked about the libel suit in her interview with Fox Five, and why she should be trusted, Ms. White responded, "Well, because I admit it. Whatever happened with Kim and I, um, happened. Just as, what, what, there would make no sense to come out with these allegations against Herman if it absolutely wasn't true."

As someone who has contributed to his campaign... Disappointed. If not true, he needs a better way to respond. He is not instilling confidence.
He responded by telling the truth.
Until there is proof otherwise, I believe him.
I was brought up that people are innocent until proven guilty. And he has been proven guilty of nothing, not in any of these allegations.
A friendship with no sex and no affair. But you fall all over yourself to help spread the worst innuendoes.
For your own sake, don’t be like the guy who sells the oceanfront property in Arizona.

Are you defending Perry?
I have not yet contributed to his campaign, and do not have a dog in the internecine squabble.
There isn’t much more that he can say besides “no, this isn’t true”. It won’t satisfy anyone who is enamored with another candidate, or who enjoys public gossip and accusations without proof.
I thought we here at FR were about conservative values. That doesn’t mean we expect our fellows to be as pure as the driven snow, but it does mean that we expect them to hold our values as important goals that we strive to attain.
I see good things about all our candidates when I listen to the debates, and I see flaws in all of them. It is not time yet to form a circular shooting squad over our preferences.
Let’s be aware of the wolves in our midst, who are circling, watching, trying to divide us, and conquer. If you do not think there are wolves among us, you are silly sheep, easily spooked.
We have many weeks to go, and more debates to consider. Each of us can vote our consciences when it is our turn. In the meantime, let’s stick to policies, ideas, and issues.
Let’s not disparage our bench, for each has strengths, and each has weaknesses. Please stick to the ideas, and not attack the candidates personally.
The other side will do enough of that, and they are doing it here.

Just for consideration, and I know nothing about you - pretend you are long and happily married, and have been faithful, even though you have had plenty of “opportunities because of your job and travels...
Then consider that you are about to get a plum promotion, but there is competition the job, and suddenly women started to come forward making all kinds of accusations...
How would you handle it before the lights, cameras, and the “bright inquiring minds” of the press (sarcasm regarding the latter).
My guess is that no matter how you handled it, some would find your reaction somewhat off... of course it might depend on what they wished to believe, in spite of no proof.

That isn't true. Perry was attempting to name the three Depts he would get rid of and could only name two...couldn't remember "Energy"...and RP was trying to help him guess.

Cain admitted to having a 13 year friendship with the "scum," who his wife didn't know, and helped her financially. He denied having sex with her, i.e., Cain "did not have sex with that woman, Ginger White."

Why? Says who? Am I not allowed to get in on a discussion if she was another white blonde? If it doesn't make me look good to talk about it, how does it make Herman look? How does it make him look to be friends with "scum?"

Your pointing out a black man having a relationship with a white woman is a little strange...perhaps you have some sensitivity about mixing races...I don't remember too many freepers making that an issue....but to each his own when it comes to that....
