Ron Paul for President, Are You Freaking kidding Me

Posted on 12/29/2011 10:43:07 AM PST by TheNewPatriot

All you Ron Paul supporters, you are obviously one digit short of a normal IQ or have a single digit IQ. No conservative believes we had anything to do with 911 or believes we brought it on ourselves. Once you step into the realm of 911 being America's fault, you're in the realm of kook ville anti-America rhetoric. I don't want a President that's going to sympathize with our enemies and rationalize it as it must be our fault. We have that already with Obamalama. If you like that, vote for Hussein. Also, being a military veteran, I'm sure as hell not voting for some clueless idiot that denies there's still a threat out there against America and wants to deal with it by dismantling our military. Mr. Paul demonstrates that he has a dangerous and fundamental misunderstanding of the threat posed to every American citizen by radical Islam and the little Hitler running Iran.

Let's also not forget the racist newspaper. Don't even go there with the excuse he had no idea what was being printed. You have to be walking Mr. Magoo not knowing your name is attached to such racist filth. Bottom line, Mr. Paul is many things, but conservative is not one of them and he isn't the answer America is looking for to return to that shinning light on the hill of greatness. Greatness doesn't come from being a pacifist or supporter of leftist social policies.

“Ron Paul isn’t a conservative. He’s a libertarian”

Well he may have Libertarian leanings but last I saw he still had an “R” after his name. And espouses conservative fiscal and domestic policies plus he wants us out of all the world police actions we’ve stuck our noses into. I guess he just doesn’t fit your definition of conservative which is:

1. for the war on terror and locking up people without a trail for as long as those in power want and having little old ladies sexually assaulted by TSA at the airport
2. for the war on drugs and allowing the police to seize your property and then making you prove that it wasn’t the result of illegal activity and having SWAT teams blow away marines (there is never an ex-marine ;) ) in Arizona
3. for giving lip service to supporting Israel while pressuring them to give in to terrorists in yet another misguided land for peace deal
4. Declaring most forcefully that they are for “sound fiscal policy” while taking bribes (campaign contributions) from the Wall Street bankers and bailing out insolvent cronies with your money to the tune of a few $ trillion
5. Being the world policeman and fighting meaningless “actions” all across the globe while beating their chest to prove how manly they are

There is a whole range of conservative ideas but you seem to think that only those the fit your narrow definition of conservative can claim that label.

I can’t say that Paul would be worse than Obama, but we can do better. I mean I would do better than Obama and I have ZERO experience. You would probably end up on Mount Rushmore if we elected you President.

I think what we are seeing here is a full blown war between the neocon wing of the republican party and the paleocon wing. While Paul is not really a paleocon, his foreign policy is to crazy even for paleocons he is very close on domestic policy and spending. Sadly the neocons (Rove, Bush, Newt, Mitt) are in complete control so traditional conservatives (small/honest government conservatives, paleocons) are being purged. The ruling class does not take the threat of small honest constitutional government lightly. I personally don’t think Paul should be president, his world view is anti Israel, 19th century and this is not the 19th century however on a number of issues Paul makes a lot of sense. The attacks on him and his supporters are IMHO way over the top.

they have already signaled that Mitt is their choice by doing what they did in Virginia to Newt and Perry so the fix is in.

From God's lips to your post.

What chafes me the most is that after so many election cycles they're still so arrogant and/or blind as to be doing it again.

I kind of wish he was on the other side. He is so off the wall, it would be fun to watch. Except that he is “one of us.”.

Ron Paul is NOT "one of us". He is a crazy Anti-Semitic nut job that should have been shunned by the GOP long ago.

Paul’s views on illegal immigration are along the lines of “how can it be illegal?”

I was a California Libertarian for years. Didn’t go for the dope thing, but other than that, yeah.

Moved to Texas, to Ron Paul’s district. Met some of the racists with whom he associated. Lots of southern partisans who felt that wrong side won the “Late Unpleasantness Between the States”. Couldn’t get served with my family in restaurants where he had functions.

This was in the 1990s, kids. By contrast, the Democrats worked hard at getting illegals to vote, and the Republicans thought that mixed race marriages were unremarkable.

which in my opinion makes him very pro-American

Blaming America for 9/11 and every other problem in the world does not, in my opinion make him very pro-American.
