This Dole/McCain/Romney idea of “broadening the base” by moving to the Left never works. The Left will vote for Obama. We need to turn out the conservative majority. You are correct that Newt is under constant attack from the Left, but Romney will be also, if he becomes the nominee.

“endorse” is word that betrays your dillatance.
Support on the other hand is showing your humillity but again I doubt that this is what you are showing us.
When one is over-filled with excitement and consternation they rush to surrender before a battle has been waged. You write a blog. Get some proportion. All we are doing is chosing functionaries for a limited government.
How is the successful nominee chosen at the convention to know the conservative truth of their party base without indications by their vote.
If you wish to give up that conservatism, you may end up with that choice in a future time. But now is not that time.
