Skip to comments.CA lawmakers in Iowa to boost Rick Perry; watch new “pig” attack ad blistering Santorum

With less than 48 hours until Iowans kick off the GOP caucuses, a crowd of California lawmakers have joined Steve Forbes, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and other supporters making a final push for Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
California Assemblymembers Dan Logue, Shannon Grove, Brian Jones and Curt Hagman have all hit the ground in the Hawkeye State Iowa Monday, ready for duty.
Logue, in a phone interview, just told us that Iowa is going to do well for Perry and this is just the first step of many steps.

But thanks for your input. :-)
Scary stupid with a Texas truck load of cronies who can’t wait to get their hands on the Federal Treasury.
Among the findings:
Seriously, are being paid by Perry for each post?
His part-time Congress statement displays an amazing lack of knowledge regarding Congress roll in the Federal Budget cycle, which is a year ‘round exercise, as well as major acquisition milestones.
Go count gov beans on your own time at your own cost.
1. Who in the right mind would have ANY California lawmaker stump for them? California might as well be part of Mexico.
2. Another set out 'outsiders' brought into Iowa to tell Iowans how to vote. Brilliant.
I swear Krusty the Clown is running Perry's campaign.
Both are 3% behind Santorum.
Yeah, right. It shows Perry has no grasp of the Constitution AT ALL. He just tosses out crazy crap, just like the ‘I’ll deport illegals’ line not long ago. Will he start by going after those he gave in-state tuition to?
You don’t know what you don’t know. Educate yourself.
That’s one hella source.
Minutemen founder Jim Gilcrist and Sheriff Joe Arpiao endorse Rick Perry.
Perry has run one of the worst campaigns in recent history. He’s a joke of a candidate with a joke of a campaign. He’s going nowhere. You know it, I know it and anyone with a modicum of sense knows it.
They only attack when they’re worried.
I swear I’ve never seen such a passel of fools downright scared of growth, wealth, freedom, strength and gutting government, especially where it kills the entrepreneurial spirit.
Where did FR get these sleeper commies?
Are you calling me a commie?
I have spent 21 years with the Department of the Army spending most of September 30 in the office past midnight receiving incoming funds, committing and recording obligations that get barracks built or painted and upgraded, latrines repaired and DFACs built, etc, etc. Those quality of life issues that seem to be at the bottom of the spending priority lists. You may with all due respect, KMA.
What the heck do you know? According to txhurl, you’re a commie!
LOL...that is what they said about the turtle.
I just think they hate us because we don’t pick a new candidate every other week, based on which way the political wind blows.
AH! First to run crying to Jim.
Just reminding him of the cretins that have infected his site.
Did I ping you on that? NO? Well, then I guess I didn’t, eh?
I am a commie! Been one for years, lol!!
Just reminding him of the cretins that have infected his site.
You’re a chicken and a fraud.
Why would that bother you? You winks do it on every one of your threads.
I honestly don’t think you’re the same Rintense I spent two days with running down that anarchist thug that broke Jindal’s assistant’s legs.
I’m sorry you are having another very, very bad day. It must be hard to walk around with all that pent up anger.
Rick Perry vs the Nativists The anti-immigrant movement is not a big fan of Rick Perry. In fact, presidential hopeful is rapidly turning into public enemy number one for his stance on immigration.
Perrys comments during the recent debates have caused an uproar within the anti-immigrant movement, with major players Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), and NumbersUSA all publically condemning Perry for his views on immigration.
William Gheen of the anti-immigrant group American for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) has also attacked Perry on his immigration policies, issuing a press release after the last debate saying Rick Perry is finished.
Over the past week or so, Perrys campaign decided to fight back against the anti-immigrant groups. First, Perrys campaign responded to a memo written by Steven Camarota of CIS where he claimed that most of the jobs the Perry created in Texas during his time as governor were given to immigrants. A Perry campaign worker, Ray Sullivan, responded to Camarotas memo stating that CISs numbers were, really off base and wrong.
This is not the first time CIS has been accused of manipulating numbers for its reports, which always conclude, whether the topic be ENVIRONMENT or economy, with the same message: immigrants are to blame.
Being called a commie is nothing. Since August, I’ve been called a child molester (twice), a lesbo and the very worst: a woman who liked men who wore Dippity-Do in their hair. What a silly season!
Calling FReepers in good standing ‘sleeper commies’ can result in a very short stay for you here. I suggest backing off quickly.
And did you know Bobby Jindal is up there in IA with Perry today, helping him get his message out?
I did not know Rick Perry had ever set immigration policy!
OK, I’ll back off quickly, after ten years here everyday.
Rick Perry is Mitt Romney's tool.
What else could explain why he's constantly going after all of Romney's opponents? Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, now Rick Santorum. Never the front-runner; only ever the challengers. Someone's trying for the old Massachusetts-Texas alliance.
But why would Rick Perry support a liberal from Massachusetts? Because he's an old-fashioned, unreconstructed totalitarian liberal, like Lyndon Johnson, and his personal hero, Al Gore.
Well put, CW. And if a Perry supporter is launching flying attack monkeys at MM I think she needs to report it to law enforcement. I want to go on the record as personally condemning any monkey attacks being carried out on Perry’s behalf.
Do you dispute the numbers?
Perry was the first candidate to take it to Romney.
You see, I gave up the blind loyalty to the almighty (R) back in 2006.
I've had enough of Texas politicians claiming to be one thing, then being quite the opposite.
I’ve been reading this thread and the “Dippity-Do” comment made me laugh out loud.
I’m sorry that you had to endure the other stuff. Things are a little...tense..around here lately, lol.
Correction: Perry did run one attack ad at least on Romney... over an issue everyone already knew about: Obamacare. But check out the way that the two words that are played with in the ad are “Care” and “Believe” Seriously, Rick Perry’s “attack ad” on Mitt Romney leaves you with the message, “Mitt Romney... Believe” with a voice saying, “He’s right.”
Did you have any comment on Bobby Jindal being in IA with Perry today?
A Southern Conservative Governor?
...and Perry spent over 1 M dollars at taxpayer expense on personal security while he campaigns in double dipping status. Yeah, the joke's on us in Texas once again.
I was completely outraged by that accusation! It is one thing to be called a child molester but to be told you love guys who like Dippity Do! Tears on my pillow that night, I can tell you.
I know "THE ADMINISTRATION" didn't cause Perry to call conservatives 'heartless'.
I know "THE ADMINISTRATION" didn't cause Perry to make a complete fool of himself in nearly every debate.
I know "THE ADMINISTRATION" doesn't prevent Perry from constructing a cogent sentence.
I know "THE ADMINISTRATION" isn't responsible for Perry's decade-long career of pandering to ILLEGAL aliens.
I know "THE ADMINISTRATION" isn't responsible for Perry's Gardasil debacle, an issue that his supporters love to dismiss as meaningless but one that turned many conservatives against him.
I know "THE ADMINISTRATION" isn't responsible for Perry's disastrous campaign, one of the worst in recent history.
But you're right, what the heck do I know.
Good for Bobby. He can support anyone he likes. As I’ve stated several times on FR, endorsements have no affect on who I will support. For example, if Palin supports Trump, she can take a hike.
None have done a better job of running their state...inspite of Obama throwing everything he has to hurt Texas!
So I’m getting you’re in the ‘none of the above’ column on the nom for POTUS.
Good point TADSLOS. I doubt Perry cares that taxpayers are subsidizing his losing campaign. He doesn't care that they subsidize the college educations of ILLEGAL aliens.
rintense is not a commie, nor are the others that you're randomly accusing. Good job at hurling unwarranted personal attacks. I suggest you knock it off. We're all on the same side here.
But you're not if you're going to post nasty insults about your fellow freepers.
