You've got it. Liberals hate conservatives not because of what conservatives are but what libs think conservatives are.

I am in California and many at work assume I am a liberal (because they are and think anyone else with half a brain must be). Most of the libs I know are entirely convinced that conservatives are evil, racist, sexist, abortion doctor-murdering, gun-happy, hypocritical idiots that deserve to be spat upon. I know because they've told me so.
