Daydreaming about a President Perry
American Thinker ^ | January 5, 2012 | Alicia Colon

Posted on 01/05/2012 2:15:50 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

.....It's too bad that his confrontation with Politico reporter Mike Allen didn't come earlier in the campaign, because "You got a name?" makes a great sound bite on how to treat the left-wing media ambushes. It would also be the way he would probably confront world leaders who are not operating in our best interests -- firm but unwavering. One thing is for certain: a president Perry would not be bowing to any Saudi potentate or any other world leader.

......Frankly, I don't think pragmatism is what is called for at this time. Slash-and-burn is what is needed to reduce our multi-trillion-dollar deficit. When I read on The Drudge Report that Rupert Murdoch was for Rick because he had vision, I thought that he was talking about Perry, not Santorum. It is Perry who wants to reduce the salaries of Congress and send them home packing. It is Perry who wants to eliminate the useless Departments of Energy, Housing, and Education. It is Perry who wants to drill, baby, drill. It is Perry who would never have pulled our soldiers out of Iraq before complete stabilization was in place. It is Perry who has the experience to get this country back on its feet.

There are only two things this country has ever done right, and they are the space program and our military -- both entities that this socialist administration and the Democratic Party gut at every opportunity.

Rick Perry could succeed with his policies only with a strong Tea-Party Congress, which only we can give him.

Yes, I am a daydreamer, but there's something about that handsome coyote-killer that reminds me of Ronnie.

Perry, Perry, Quite Contrary ........"Scenario B is potentially very bad news for Mr. Romney. It implies that party elites are not coalescing around him. In fact, it suggests that a subgroup of party elites are so dissatisfied with Mr. Romney that they are behaving strategically in an effort to maximize their chances of denying him the nomination..."

Iowa ethanol industry celebrates Romney-Santorum..........."Romney and Santorum (like Gingrich and Obama) both go 4-for-4 on the ethanol lobby's scorecard. Paul goes 2-for-4 because he would cut oil subsidies and allow 15-percent ethanol blends to be sold, but opposes the mandate and other subsidies. Rick Perry went 0-for-4."

Thanks -- I like it too. See the finger holding the ribbon? I added that. RINO Rick provides the humor, of course.

It's far past time for your hero to drop out. His remaining in the race only helps Mitt Romney.

No.

With Gov. Perry remaining in the race, it gives conservatives the opportunity to vote for the true CONSERVATIVE with executive record cred, who can beat Obama and.....

Not yet. But hey, if we’d pick a “slash and burn” “handsome coyote-killer” it looks like we’d have a good shot at picking off the vote of the writer!

that dumb Iowa caucus

Wow, more anti-Iowa elitism -- but this time from the right!

Surprised to hear this coming from Alicia Colon. I thought this junior high level snobbery was the province of the Left.

And speaking of junior high, what is Alicia smoking? Girlishly gushing over an over-the-hill pol, give me a break.

Yes, Perry continues to be the true conservative remaining in this race.

I don't know why he's been getting hammered relentlessly on this conservative forum. Well, I do know. It had nothing to do with his policies and everything to do with the timing in which he entered. He was viewed as a threat to a favorite non-candidate here so the Perry bashing started relentlessly right out of the gate. Nonetheless, she's not here and Perry is. Perry is strong on job creation, domestic energy, government deregulation, pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment. And he has a record to back it up. Additionally, he doesn't have a closet full of skeletons. He's been thoroughly vetted by Austin liberals who have spent a decade failing to dig up dirt on him. Yet all we hear are "Gardasil" and "La Raza Ricardo". And somehow Santorum and Gingrich are the "conservatives" in this race?

So Perry can't debate. So what? Gingrich will carve Obama up in the debates and then get his ass handed to him in the general election! Is this what we want? And Santorum? Take away his pro-life accolades and he's just another big-spending, pork barrel, bail-outing Republican.

This election is going to be about jobs and the economy --something that Perry has dealt with successfully and has a record to prove it. He can beat Obama.

His axe is missing one major cut, namely illegal immigration. That cut could save $100 billion a year.

Daydreaming indeed. Seems to be what Perry has been doing during the entire campaign.

HAHAHAHHAA! Please. Mr. 5th place, 2% was never seen as a threat to anyone. If Perry were the 'true conservative', he'd be winning by a wide margin instead of being Romney's stalking horse.

Texas has spent over $400 Million trying to do the fed's job of protecting an INTERNATIONAL border.

Perry wants the border sealed (states he can do it within a year), kill off the cartels and NO amnesty.

He is the only one running who means it and who will do it.
