He’s a buddhist head shrinker, clearly insane.

The more that degenerate coward grandson of an illegal alien polygamist talks, the less people like him.

This was a pathetic propaganda piece by ABC and the MYTH ROMNEY campaign to show that he he the inevitable winner, and it blew up in their faces.

He's going to start dropping like a stone.

>>...are we willing to sacrifice our principle for the sake of winning an election? If that is the case, that is a party I no longer want to be a member of...<<

I think this is a fast growing sentiment.

As I see it, if Romney wins the primary race by a squeaker, then the potential for a third-party (composed of those who hold their principles firmly) to rise and challenge the GOP grows much greater.

You can argue all you like about how a third-party will guarantee a dem win, but this election could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. These third-partiers will push back that if you don’t like splitting the conservative vote, then you can bloody-well join the new party and render the GOP as the vote-splitting third-party. The GOP, it’s leadership and power-brokers, have been nothing but a source of disappointment and frustration for far too long. It consistently drifts ever leftward and shows no sign, nor any interest, in tacking back to the right.

Everybody just assumes the GOP electorate will always “fall in line” for lack of a “viable” alternative. If Romney gets the nod, I think it will just push more of that electorate over the edge and desperate for an alternative party more in line with their political principles, regardless of it’s initial viability.

Just my opinion based on personal observations. I’m not encouraging anything; on the contrary, I’d rather this serve as a warning to the GOP who seems to arrogantly think they “own” the voters. I think that leash is old, frayed and ready to break.

Romney is a bit worse than a McCain redo.

Is Newt the one getting the votes? No. Newt has a lot of negatives. It's one of the reasons I have not supported him.

No, he is not. Partly because he hasn't pulled the gloves off. Negative campaigning has hurt him. But I have to ask. Do you REALLY, REALLY want a President Romney? Think about that and the implications. He is a moderate progressive with an agenda not very dissimilar to Obama's. Newt is being demonized because they all know he is better prepared to lead, and from a truly conservative platform. He is very articulate. The media is trying to hand pick the weakest republican to go against their highness.

Re-reading that, feel I should clarify I don’t mean you (Les) specifically — rather, “you” as in “those who would argue”.

How can you take MIT down with ABC controlling the questions?

I am with you on this one. Any party that nominates a man like Mitt Romney, a man with no core principles, a man who has a history of voting and supporting Liberal policies, and a man who is the father of ObamaCare and the individual mandate - one of the greatest threats to personal liberty in my lifetime. Any party that nominates a man like that is no party of mine.

Well analyzed. Gingrich had a super-moment when he showed the liberal bigotry of the media. He really turned the issue around against the media. Wish more candidates would so so.

“If you weren’t here debating, what would you be doing on a Saturday night?”

Newt, Santorum, and Mitt all said they’d be home watching the college championship game. Problem is, there was no college football game, and no championship game, only NFL playoffs. All three blew it.

Perry said he’d be at the shooting range:)
