HERMAN CAIN: 'THATS THE SAME CRAP' THE MEDIA DID TO ME
THE BLAZE ^ | 01/20/2012 | Eddie Scarry

Of course Herman Cain would rush to the defense of Newt Gingrich in light of an interview by Gingrich’s ex-wife, who claims he wanted their marriage to be an open relationship.

Cain himself was the subject of allegations from four separate women that he engaged in sexual misconduct with them, thus leading him to suspend his own presidential campaign in December.

“I loved Newt Gingrich’s response because that’s the same crap that they pulled on me, and that’s what’s wrong with politics,” Cain told Fox News on Friday morning. He was commenting on the fiery response Gingrich gave to CNN’s John King during Thursday‘s Republican debate when King asked about Gingrich’s ex-wife’s claim.

“In your case the media had to search and do a little fabricating and only came up with whimper.”

Worth repeating.

I can confirm about Gloria Cain’s pacemaker. She also said she was afraid Herman would win. She was also a Democrat. All in all, it makes for a weak family foundation to run for president.

“..but a president, or a CEO doesn’t need to know everything. They need a good basic knowledge base, to select staff with expertise in each area and the wisdom to know when to follow their advice..”

That was the Democrat line when it was said Obama didn't have the experience, knowledge of governing and other necessary ingredients to be president. And, look what we have now!!

Cain did Gingrich a big favor with that one-on-one debate.

I remember it the other way around.

Newt saved Cain on a couple of occasions in that debate.

IT wasnt debate so much as a kissyfest.

Boo Hoo!

Here’s a hint, don’t break one of the laws God sent down from the mountain and you won’t have anything to worry about.

Cain IS a media whore and I wish he would just go away. Good ideas don't mean sh$t if you don't have the character and backbone to implement them. Had Cain been nominated Obama's political machine would have destroyed him with no real effort. I am just glad he is out.

Allen West on the other hand is a coming thunderstorm and I cannot wait.

I don’t think 99% of people even understand Perry’s Immigration stance.
He is Against illegal immigration.

Always was.

Bingo!
And then he said repeatedly “I am innocent of ‘many’ of these allegations”

Is this the same Cain who is palling around with Colbert trying to make a mockery of the SC primary?

I agree. I have been waiting for West to run for higher office, and it looks like he is open to the idea.

“Obama is no Reagan...”

I don’t understand your post. How does Ronald Reagon get into the conversation?

He didn’t articulate it well in the debates I watched.

I waited for him to push, “We are not allowed to deport directly, and the Federal Government mandates we supply benefits to the illegals until they are deported, so this is why we allow instate tuition in order to help them to be productive instead of a drain on our state.”

I would have loved it, if he said that we want to be able to directly deport illegal immigrants and as president, I will promote legislation to allow states to deport on their own or to send captured illegals to border states to handle the deportation on a subcontract bases.

Make capturing and deporting a business. Also, even though I hate “turning in your neighbor” stuff, some thing you should turn in your neighbor on. Offer rewards for people who turn in businesses who have illegal labor. The business needs to show they did due diligence by running the employee information (whether it is forged or not) through e-verify.

E-verify needs to trigger silent alerts to local or state law enforcement on duplicate usage of Social Security numbers, made up Social Security numbers, and other suspicious information. The state needs to be able to then pick up the illegal and directly deport or send them to a deportation state. Set up a pool of money that we are now wasting on ineffective INS stuff. Have the states get those dollars based on the number of deportations.

I am sure the lady also get a ton of crap from her family, friends and the local hair Salon. It is too much for most people.

I didn’t know she was a Democrat. Poor Mr. Cain.

"I think John King did Newt a favor too by asking him about it the way he did. It gave Newt the perfect opportunity to take what could have been a huge negative and turn it around to his favor. The media thought this would destroy Newt, they misunderestimated him."

King doesn't give those questions, the producers do. And the producers knew it would set Gingrich on fire.

The MSM wants a scorched-earth GOP primary season. And if they're the lightning rod for any candidate, that's just fine with them, because it helps their boy Bobo in the end.

That's not a commentary on the GOP race as it unfolds, it's just what it is.

"“Same crap” Yes but you Mr. Cain turned and put your tail between your legs and ran. As did Sarah Palin."

Uh, there's a huge difference between getting in/getting out versus keeping your powder dry (and cashing a $2M payday). And she campaigned in 2008 with the best mojo, the MSM just didn't broadcast it like they did Bobo 24/7. There's no turn-tail in that woman.

Reagan was no expert in everything, "just an actor" he surrounded himself with brilliant advisers, and wisely chose to follow their good advice.

Results:
Booming economy, collapse of the Soviet Union, ascendency of American clout.

I'd be Cain could have done the same. He's "just a pizza CEO"...

They helped each other.

At the time of the debate, Cain was the front-runner and Newt was the also-ran.

You are discussing the content of the debate. I didn’t see the debate. I was describing the fact of the debate itself. Of course Newt out-performed Cain in the debate.

Cain had already done well enough in debates and didn’t need the extra attention. Newt needed a chance to stand out. Cain provided it.

Both men were gentlemen to their opponents until Romney decided to lower the level of the entire campaign.
