And anything worth killing is worth over killing. There is nothing more dangerous than a wounded laptop. It is hunting iPads that is tricky. You have to put up a deer blind by the charger and get them when they aren't looking.

If this was the end of his parenting, I'd agree.

However, by removing the laptop from his daughter's life, he'll many more opportunities to interact with and teach her.

I love the video. I stomped my son’s guitar hero guitar to bits when he wouldn’t do his chores. It led to more rebellion, eventually fist fights, and me kicking him out. He is in jail now and will be for some time because the boy just doesn’t think rules apply to him.

I think this Dad is on the right track. It is the parents who don't take a round turn on their kids and show them that they can't do anything they feel like and there wont be consequences for their actions. He is showing an active interest in raising that daughter which is more than I can say for most parents out there right now.

Complete agreement; this guy sounds like a moron. Where do you suppose his daughter learned impulse control? I would also be curious as to who owned the laptop. Even if the father had given it to her, it doesn't give him the right to destroy it. It wouldn't be shocking to see CPS show up at this guy's house - if he feels the need to take his aggression out on a computer because of this, what's he going to do when the girl comes home with bad grades, an unacceptable boyfriend, or an unintended pregnancy?
