You will recall that last Friday, I blogged a report that CNN Israel had fired all its Jewish journalists. Several of my blogging friends were afraid to run with the story, largely because it came from a blog that most of us had never seen before. I ran with it (although as a "Report" and not as confirmed fact) because I found the fact that they had all the journalists' names and that one of them was confirmed to me independently by someone who knew him, convincing.
CNN has finally responded to the rumor. The response is not going to convince anyone that the report was wrong (Hat Tip: Jewish Press):
In response to inaccurate reports, CNN has strongly denied since Friday rumors that it no longer employs Israeli Jews in its Jerusalem bureau.
The company has said:
"CNN has recently reviewed its worldwide operations, an exercise we do regularly to ensure operational and technological efficiency in everything we do. As part of this exercise, we have reorganized the CNN bureau in Jerusalem."
To counter misinformation reported on various websites, the company has confirmed:
"CNN currently has seven employees working in CNN's Jerusalem bureau, four of whom are Jewish. There is no basis in fact for these reports."

Kick CNN out of the US.
Kick the bill of rights out while you’re at it.
Kick CNN in the nads.
My guess is that they currently employ three Arab journalists and four Jewish janitors.
If this is true it’s unprecedented. I hope that Americans respond by kicking CNN out of their homes.
I haven't watched CNN in years for any reason and don't plan to start any time soon. Why would anyone who cares about truth get a scrap of information from CNN?
Is CNN still on the air?
Not in our house.
What is CNN?
“What is CNN?”
Chicken Noodle Network.
Clinton News Network during the 1990’s.
Now just the Communist News Network. Haven’t watched it in years.
This story all but confirms that Israel is about to attack Iran’s nuclear sites.

Thanks Nachum.
What are the other three?
Ironically, American journalism doesn't care about the First Amendment. At least, not in the sense that a conservative would understand it. Journalists are a cabal. They think of journalism as a priesthood of sorts. Whereas the Christian knows that the only thing that matters is God, the journalist - and the "liberal" who after all has no higher principle than to get along and go along with journalists - thinks that nothing actually matters except PR. The Associated Press, IOW, is essentially their church. It functions as an established religion. And "the wire" is their god.So yes, the First Amendment is sacred to them - but not as a right of the people, but as a privilege of the Associated Press and its member newspapers. The individual journalist does not claim the right to judge the objectivity of any other journalist, provided that the other journalist doesn't judge any other journalist's objectivity. But let a journalist do so - Goldberg, exhibit A - and suddenly he is "not a journalist, not objective" - and never was. His past membership in the church is to be forgotten.
That is the principle that Dan Rather relied on when he attempted to stonewall the revelations that his "Texas Air National Guard memos" were a fraud. And, sure enough, CBS convened an "investigation" - strictly for the purpose of whitewashing the affair. And drawing the foregone conclusion that patent political motives "were not political."
The Duke Lacrosse "rape" allegation makes a classic illustration. It fit journalism's template perfectly. So perfectly, in fact, that it pretty much smelled fishy on the first day, and the fact that it was a fraud was patent within a week - but it was still a sensation, and still reported as a straight story, right up to the time about 9 months later when Cooper declared officially that those boys/men were innocent. Flat-out vindication for the boys. And yet the story died not with a bang but with a whimper.
None of the activists, none of the 88 Duke professors who called for blood, faced any negative PR for promoting and exploiting that hoax. You would think that with all the "independent" journalists and newspapers and broadcast and cable news outlets out there that some of them would have said something. But once the story diverged definitively from the template it was no story at all. Because the only template that matters to journalism is that journalism is important and objective. To report on screaming bias in journalism, and on extreme tendentiousness among those who carried journalism's water, would have been a sacrilege which was never gonna happen. Anyone who tried it would have been drummed out of journalism with extreme prejudice.
I pubished the first report on CNN Israel. The reason we are unknown to you is because we blog in French, but I decided to translate my article in English. I will publish an updated report on the situation, probably later today (we are currently under hackers attack), in English on dreuz.info.
Thanks,
