During the past week a number of Operation Fast and Furious watchers have been celebrating the notion that Congressman Darrell Issa’s February 14th letter to Eric Holder represents a last chance, comply or else, final offer to the gangster Attorney General. (1)
Unfortunately, buying into such wishful thinking will result in nothing but disappointment as the Congressman has shown little in his dealings with the Attorney General over the past 6 months but a litany of empty threats and predictable retreats when they are ignored.
During his December 8th testimony before Issa’s House Government Reform Committee, Holder stated emphatically that his Department of Justice would NOT provide congress any Fast and Furious information dated later than February 4th of 2011.
In support of that assertion he has prevented DOJ officials providing testimony to the House and ignored repeated requests for relevant letters and emails. (2)
Perhaps such astounding arrogance should have surprised no one, for when the House at last filed a subpoena in October demanding the Department turn over approximately 80,000 Fast and Furious related documents, Holder ignored it, making clear even then that he had no intention of abiding by House demands.
And the House of Representatives—that is, the Republican Party—did nothing.
At the end of January, Deputy Attorney James Cole addressed a letter to Congress stating the Department of Justice in no way had the necessary TIME to comply with House requirements that it FINALLY turn over the documents subpoenaed 4 months earlier.
This was in response to yet another Issa threat on January 27th to begin contempt proceedings against Holder should he fail to provide the material by a February 9th deadline. (3)
And Issa reiterated that threat prior to the AG’s House testimony of Feb 2nd, stating once again there would be no choice...

I knew that the Race Card was coming BIG TIME as soon as the Usurper was elected. Don’t criticize Issa too quickly. The Republicans in the House could use a contempt proceeding during the summer to put a lot of pressure on Obama, in which he would likely throw Holder under the bus.
Unlike impeachment, contempt proceedings by congress are limited to just one of the bodies. Reid in the senate could not block it in any way, and it just requires a simple majority vote, first by the committee, then the house as a whole.
Lots of possibilities here, some of which result in an extended pummeling of Holder and lots of pressure on Obama.
Republicans never stand up to anyone. This is why the country is where it is now. We elect the republicans because they tell us that they will do this and that but they never carry threw. We need to clean the republican party up and get rid of the rino’s and the weak kneed republicans. I am tired of promises that never come. I will vote third party if that is what has to happen to strengthen the republic.
Folks, America is noticing the widening racial divide caused by Obama and his cronies.
I truly believe that if a ham sandwich runs agains this guy in 2012, Obama loses....I could be wrong and I am basing this on anectdotal evidence of many white Democrats I know personally....we’ll see....
They could do a lot of things, but they have done NOTHING.

Issa I am sure truly wants to get Holder, but the "race card" during election time is crucial, (horrible to say,but true).
But: if he does nothing, we conservatives will be mad
if he does do something, the leftist voters will retaliate for getting the black man.

My wife called Clinton - both times.
AND she called Barry for the first time and is certain he'll be reelected.
And before you get any ideas, she's more conservative than I am, which is saying a lot!

I for one will not run up to that football held by the GOP anymore. They have yanked it at the last minute every time we were told we had an issue which would bring down one of the socialist/communists/Marxists in an administration. It just does not happen.
Progressives are the Lucy in the cartoon and they occupy so many areas of government, media, education there is no way we will ever get to kick that football.

The White House Insider, in the serial Ulsterman Report, indicated weeks ago that Issa nailing Holder is key to the Obama White House unraveling, including Jarrett, but given all the other nefarious events the Insider relates of the White House web, it takes very little imagination to understand that Issa himself would come under horrendous pressures. I do not envy Issa in this work. It is dangerous possibly, and to what degree the danger may wrap up Boehner, with his meek projections on the Holder investigation, is still a very good question.
It is enough to give one the vapors to entertain very deeply the version held by the WHI, on certain people, places and things, and what he deems as, “key”.

Don’t be naive. Thinking about “possibilities” is essentially wishful thinking here.
Just went to U.S.Congress.Gov and sent a note to Mr. Issa begging him to grow a set and hold these criminals accountable
Our first Muslim President WANTS to get the sympathy vote when the Repubs Impeach him. Clinton proved that a serial rapists could not be impeached, a gunrunning F the Constitution Muslim terrorist playing President wants the conflict.
Obama knows that Americans are nitwits, conspiracies can only be theories.

I believe Fast & Furious will die on the vine.
However I do not wholly blame Issa.
He is gettong no help at all from Boehner or any of the rest of the House.
He is pretty much out there with his neck in a noose.
I hope he can get to the bottom of the mess, but he is fighing the White House alone.
