LOS ANGELES, CA (February 29, 2012) Lifetime has picked up Bristol Palin: Lifes a Tripp, an all-new docuseries that will provide an exclusive, rare glimpse into Bristol Palins real life as a young, single mother forging her own way in the world while living under the constant spotlight as a member of one of Americas most high-profile families.
With never-before-granted access to Bristols real-life experiences growing into womanhood, Bristol Palin: Lifes a Tripp will reveal how she adjusts to her life in Alaska, where daily she faces the many pressures of raising her toddler son Tripp alone and maintains the close relationship she holds with her parents, former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Todd, and siblings. Steadfastly moving forward both personally and professionally, Bristol will be confronted by the many difficult life decisions people must make regarding Parenthood, family, relationships and career giving viewers a unique look at how these true-to-life challenges test her resolve as she single-handedly writes the next chapter in her and Tripps young life.
From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding. This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, a mother and a young woman making her way in the world, said Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President, Programming, of Lifetime Networks.
Lifetime has ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the program to air this year. Bristol Palin: Lifes a Tripp will be produced by Associated Television International, with David McKenzie, Jim Romanovich and David Martin executive producing with Lifetimes Sharenow, Gena McCarthy and Noah Pollack. Robyn Schnieders will co-executive produce.
The former first daughter of Alaska, Palin has become one of the countrys most high-profile teen mothers after the 2008 birth of Tripp. She has since dedicated her life to being a leading advocate for the prevention of teen pregnancy, working with such organizations as the Candies Foundation to educate people about the issue. In 2010, Palin appeared on ABCs hit reality competition series Dancing with the Stars, on which she placed in third. Most recently, she published her New York Times best-selling book, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, which candidly chronicles her public and personal life.

Good grief!!!!
Who cares!!!!
Her book couldn’t even sell. The sales were even lower than that of Ms. Fatty McCain’s. Last I read, Fatty’s book had only sold a little over 2,500 copies. Bristol’s book had only sold about half that.
It’s getting to be that the most dangerous place in America is between Bristol Palin & a TV camera.
She is under the illusion that she is ‘living under the constant spotlight’ because she believes it. My brain hurts too from the cashing in that this family continues to make. Bristol is the apple that didnt fall far from the tree. Big damn deal, another kid having a kid out of wedlock and because her last name is Palin, she is famous. Good grief, who cares is RIGHT!
Point us to your book and its sales figures....
Seems she might consider reflecting on her mistakes and pursuing a good Dad for her son.
How about seeking the constant spotlight. There are plenty of former child actors who fled the scene as adults and now enjoy life in quiet obscurity.
Another palin-brand money grab....good for her but call it what it is.
First of all, she never wrote the book. She is not capable of writing a book. Someone else wrote it for her. Who that someone else is, the name never came to the fore other than it was written for her.
Whatta ya live under a rock?
Her co-author was Nancy French. It’s right on the cover of the book. Ever hear of Google?
I wanted to add to what you just wrote, but I cant because you covered it all.
Our societys ethics are so screwed up.
This Bristol, with a child out of wedlock and has no education and dumber than a bag of rocks, is held up for a younger generation to aspire to. I honestly dont understand this sick crap.
Words just dont come to me. There is so much more I would like to say, but cant.
Yes, that has been read many times.
The problem is she has no credibility.
/yawn
LOL, more Palin family realityTV! This kind of stuff just further erodes any chance that Sarah will ever again be taken seriously as an actual political candidate (rather than a pundit/commentator).
But you missed my point. I said that in my view she shouldn't now go for the national spotlight because of her fame which was based on a large error in judgment. Rather, it might be better for her to hunker down and find a father for her son or else find a career other than one in ShowBiz. Now, that's only if she wants to earn respect.
But the press fawning over Michelle Obama’s arms, fashion wear, obesity campaign and all that helps Mr. Obama, right?
I wasn’t interested enough to research it. Just knowing she didn’t write it was enough for me. She doesn’t have the brains or education to do so.
Now you know she did not write it.
It’s like flypaper.
Too many TV channels and too little to actually broadcast = $%*t that nobody wants to watch
Many very accomplished individuals have used a co-author or ghost writer, as I’m sure you’re aware. Do you know Miss Bristol Palin? Who are you to judge her intelligence or talent at writing? My Lord, that woman and her family sure do get you haters in a froth. You don’t know how much it amuses me...
Then Palin campaigned for this crook who legally could also not be president of the U.S.
He is dual national as I am too...American and Panamanian.
He was born in Colon Hospital, Colon, Republic of Panama. McCain, the liar that he always is, lied in his book.
Palin had to have known about this.
The point is she is brainless and worthless. And she is being held in such high esteem. This is awful for kids.
Hey you wonderful folks. Got to run....Hawaii 50 on LIV and after that The Five.
I am taking off my flame suit, but will put it back on after The Five.
Saludos.
It has been fun.
You know who passed their 15 minutes of fame a long time ago and are too...freaking...stupid to know it? The folks on our side who are still crapping on the Palins. I mean, really, thanks, guys. The 2012 field is so much better without her. It’s so much better than she was. Oh, wait a minute. No, it’s not. It’s really not. The Washington Generals show more heart and potential to win than this bunch of clowns. But go ahead and say “Sarah Palin had a bad interview four years ago” again. Say “Sarah Palin talks funny” again. Say “Bristol Palin’s a slut” again. I dare you. I double dare you.
You must have lived a perfect life. Is your real name Jesus, by any chance? Last time I checked, Panama was a third-world sh*t hole. How about improving your country and we'll worry about the USA.
You’re a liar. Nancy French was the collaborator (not a ghostwriter) and it was publicized that she was the collaborator.
The flypaper seems to be the piece with your obsession of the Palin family on it. Millions of girls are unwed mothers with no education. Big deal.
No, I grew up in the Canal Zone which was a perfect life:

The Definition of a CZBrat
________________________________________
With perilous pride the local youth born in the Panama Canal Zone have dubbed themselves “brats.” The species, they say, has three varieties: Army, Canal Zone, and Navy. In the contemptuous sense they are, of course, no more brats than any other cross-section of young Americans.
Their alleged allergy to the assumption of responsibilities has a familiar ring that probably echoes as far back as humanity’s first “older” generation. The gradual abandonment of rural life and the rapid advent of a push-button era combine to rob that charge, so frequently made by the aging, of its realism. In all the Canal Zone there is no such thing as a wood box to fill, coal or snow to shovel, or even a privately-owned lawn mower to push. The quality of soil and multiplicity of ravenous insects discourage private gardening. The absence of such chores, plus the presence of a maid in almost every household, leave few domestic routines to be assumed by young folk. Even spending money cannot be earned in an area which offers no private enterprise and a very few odd jobs. Doubtless the consistently high standard of family income often encourages a larger weekly allowance than is wise. If these combine to give young Zonians a false impression of life’s rigid requirements, let it be remembered that they are but the victims of such circumstances. The absence of a Juvenile Court speaks volumes for the good to be found in Canal Zone homes, churches, schools, recreation programs and the “brats” themselves.
It would be difficult to find a community more conducive to good health. Medical care is excellent and within the reach of every family budget. Houses being built with screens instead of closable windows, one is literally never away from fresh air. Every day of the year playgrounds, swimming pools and beaches are crowded. There is organized recreation even during non-school months. The world offers no better fishing in ocean, lake or river than in Panama. For hiking there are endless trails. No snow? What need for it with slippery palm leaves for a sled?
The school system is accredited by the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools and colleges. In 1944, a survey conducted by that Association resulted in a rating of “superior” for the Canal Zone schools. There are few schools with better physical equipment. That is especially true in science laboratories and library facilities. For example, the Balboa High School alone has 11,000 volumes. A high staff rating requires that High School teachers have a Masters degree, while many of the Junior College faculty possess a Doctor of Philosophy degree. This college enjoys credit reciprocity with Stateside colleges. The two high schools are located in Balboa and Cristobal.
There is neither compulsory attendance in any Canal Zone school nor a truant officer, yet very few pupils “play hookey.” The philosophy that schooling is not a requirement but a privilege seems to be practical—at least in the Canal Zone where there are no poor families needing financial aid from employed minors. Contrary to the pattern in most North American high schools, the senior enrollment frequently exceeds that of the Sophomore and Junior classes.
Another singular value is the cosmopolitan atmosphere in which young folk are steeped at the Crossroads of the World. Influences from afar plus the local blending of cultures and unusual opportunities combine to eliminate the deadening provincialisms that bedevil our “One World.” All this and much more combine to make of local “brats” not only good Americans, but also good world citizens.

I never said she was a ghost writer. I said I didn’t know who the person was who wrote the book for this little girl.
Learn to read.
What is the big deal here? It’s no different than all those “16 and Pregnant”, “Jersey Shore”, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian shows making the rounds. As long as people watch these shows glorifying bad decisions, stupidity, or people who have done nothing in life but are privileged... The networks will continue to air them.
Can’t blame them. It’s the mindless lemmings watching that keeps them relevant.
P.S.
“Last time I checked, Panama was a third-world sh*t hole. How about improving your country and we’ll worry about the USA.”
Not surprising, you have the countries confused. It is the USA that is a third-world sh*t hole these days.
Panama is mining copper, gold, oil is seeping out of the ground in the Provence of El Darien; and best of all, the widening of the Panama Canal is going great. There are not enough folks to fill all these jobs, so Panama is recruiting from other countries.
The US is falling apart as is the rest of the world, but Panama is doing just find.
You need to do some reading.
How about improving your country? But then, it is
too far gone for your banana republic.
Good luck.
P.S. again.
I forgot to mention:
Panama at this moment is building a huge undergound subway system and a couple of new airports.
Bananas anybody?
There you go lying again. You wrote, “Who that someone else is, the name never came to the fore other than it was written for her.”
Nancy French’s name was prominent in the promotion of the book, as well as being on the front cover of the book. You said the name never came to the forefront, intimating that the book was ghostwritten.
Can you learn to read, you arrogant pos?
“There you go lying again. You wrote, Who that someone else is, the name never came to the fore other than it was written for her.”
No, I didn’t lie. I didn’t give a damn enough to care to investigate. I still don’t.
Nancy French. A big Mitt Romney fan helped with the book.
Thank you, dforest, but truthfully, I am just not interested in this child’s past, present, and future.
Thank you, dforest, for offering me all that reading. But truthfully, I am just not interested in this child’s past, present, and future.
Building an underground subway????
Wow...when I was there they didn’t even have a sewage system....people use to paddle boats down the streets in the rainy season.
And still here you are with 15 freaking posts out of the last 36 in this thread. Looks like a lot of interest to me.
Last I heard, Bristol was over 18, so she’s not a child anymore. She can do what she wants, for better or worse.
Yeah, nobody is clamoring to come to the United States:
Green Card Lottery
https://www.dvlottery.state.gov/
In the meantime since last you tried to insult me of which you have had no success, another gold mind was just discovered a few miles from where I live.
In fact, I took a geology course way back, and one of our fieldtrips, which we took once a week, consisted of panning for gold. It was an area between Panama City and Colon City located way, way back in the jungle. It took some time to walk to the stream where we panned. This entire country is sitting on gold.
“Yeah, nobody is clamoring to come to the United States”
You are correct.
Panamanians do not go to the States illegally. They prefer Panama.
May I send you some bananas?
I live in the Biloxi/Gulfport area, where the bananas are off-loaded from Central and South America. We have more than enough. I haven’t seen you thank us for liberating you from the Republic of Colombia, but you’re welcome anyhow.
You have not read history. You know zero about history. Quit talking about things you know nothing.
It was not liberation. It was about taking Panama to build a canal since Colombia was not cooperating.
Period.
Advice:
“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.”
Dont bother me again with your lack to education and knowledge.
I dont have time for stupidity.
