Karl Rove mockingly dismissed the value of Sarah and Todd Palin's endorsements on a private conference call today, noting that their backing of Newt Gingrich in Alaska "demonstrated that endorsements don’t mean snot."
BuzzFeed obtained the dial-in information for the conference call with Barclays Capital clients and employees, in which Rove outlined the state of the Republican race for the presidency and the path forward for the candidates.
It’s no secret that Rove, who orchestrated President George W. Bush’s presidential wins, is no fan of the Palins, and has repeatedly sparred over with the former Alaska Governor since she entered the national political scene in 2008.
Rove criticized Palin for being hyper-sensitive to criticism last year, saying she’d need to get a “a slightly thicker skin” if she wanted to run for president. In 2008 he called her selection as John McCain's running mate a political decision, as opposed to a decision to be best prepared to govern.
Rove also said on the call that he expects Democrats to hold the Senate, and that Newt Gingrich is on the brink of becoming "irrelevant" to the presidential race.
Whether intended or not, Gov. Palin is now seen as "in" for Newt. I hope she goes all in-- and gets on the campaign trail.
I have always despised Rove.....the little weasel never fooled me for one second. But he sure fooled many a FReeper over the years.

Karl Rove is almost single handedly responsible for creating the fracture between the Hawaii Republican Party (HRP) and the various islands wide Tea Party movement in 2010 .

Well, if ANYONE knows about Snot and Snottiness it would be Karl Rove. But I think that what Rove is observing is the Snot on his eyeglasses which is obscuring his view of REALITY.

Rove has backed every Republican moderate that has ran for a Presidential election. He thinks he has the power to turn elections to whom he wants. Where did the first Bush get us? Where did the 2nd Bush get us? Where did McCain get us? Where will Romney get us? He needs to shut up and let the voters decide. Cannot believe Fox pays this man to comment with his chalk board.

If anybody should know about becoming irrelevant its Tokyo. His credibility was gone after the Christine O’Donnell campaign. Foxney News is the only place he can still be on the air.

Funny, I was just remarking that every time I hear the word ‘snot’ I think of Karl Rove.
But I also think of Rove whenever I hear the other S-word.
