An ugly Air Force cover up: Quinton Keel not fired, but promoted and allowed to resign

Instead of being fired, Quinton Keel the Dover AFB mortuary supervisor who dumped 9/11 victims remains in landfill was promoted and allowed to resign after being promoted.

Keel whose ghoulish mistreatment of the remains of our fallen military heroes was brought to light by whistleblowers has been force out only because was caught retaliating against them.

According to Air Force sources Keel, showed no regard for our honored dead, and no remorse when his willful mishandling of our war heroes’ bodies was revealed by courageous whistleblowers. Instead of contrition Keel systematically retaliated against those who exposed him.

Keel has been accused of lying to authorities investigating charges that, among other things he ordered the arm of a fallen Marine be sawed off in order to force his body into a uniform!

Investigation also revealed that on Keel’s orders the remains of victims of the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon, and Iraq and Afghanistan War dead were merely incinerated then dumped in a landfill in Virginia.

While it is not clear what retaliatory measures Keel directed at the courageous and honest employees who reported his despicable conduct, investigators acknowledged they are also questioning two other supervisors as coconspirators in the ongoing retaliation.

Aside from Keel another man who should be sacked and not even given a chance to resign is Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. Norton Schwartz.

When news of Keel’s atrocious conduct surfaced, Schwartz not only failed to fire him but actually created a new GS-13 pay grade position ($85,500) for him with the cynical title of “Air Force Survivor Assistance Program Manager.”

Now Keel will be able to ride off into the sunset and retire on a fat federal pension paid for by us, without regard for how he did his job or.....

You ever seen an embalment?

Ever seen everything that gets washed down the drain?

Isn't that disrespectful too?

Shouldn't all the body fluids be captured and placed in the casket too?

Yup, I have actually. You? Not that it matters. I have also seen body parts fly in industrial accidents, a motorcyclist with his face ground off on the pavement and other medical horrors like my own guts.

I also see someone without the will or ability to back up his defense of a moron. I see a poster lacking the sense God gave Pissant that would allow him to differentiate between a funeral procedure and throwing human remains disrespectfully into a pile of rotting garbage - even if they are rotting themselves.

And I see a liberal spouting the ideas of a liberal that cannot come to terms with his own liberal ideals.

So flushing humans remains down the drain is fine.

Glad we got that straightened out.

I learned a long time ago you can’t argue with ignorance.

Since ignorance appears to be your only tool, I suppose that you're just going to have to use it. (Thanks for confirming that you are arguing with ignorance rather than with coherent thoughts.)

Well I have been called the arbitrator of all that’s good and just, so mine aren’t the principles with problems.

BTW, you still haven’t answered the question. Why is that?

No need to question... I would be one of the contributors. All I did was ask because some of these remains were not even siftable. I just know that each memorial that has been contracted to be built to memorialize 9/11 has turned into a governmetn and bureaucratic nightmare. I suppose I put in excessive question marks precisely because I have gotten soooo frustrated with the long drawn out plan and revise and the ever increasing accomodation of the “Muslims” who died that day too...

Sorry that was way too long a rant.

Trust me I wish we could have just had a memorial plot with marker as you suggested

You know nothing of my world....you know nothing of my veneration of the Tomb of the Unknown or the row upon row of fallen warriors at various landing points for D-Day or the watery graves of those aboard ship on Dec 7. I do not know if you have been to each of those places ( and many more battlefields where the US has fought and brave men died), but I have

I did not avoid your post. Unlike you who seem to have copious time to post. I get to post on my lunch hour or after work....which by the way is spent making sure that our most precious resource is well guarded and defended ( and I do in fact mean the US military men and women)

Jimminy Cricket.... I made NO exucses for anyone, I used to many question marks for a legitamate question. Talk about getting your knockers in a bunch. You would have thought that I praised the guy who did this and nominated him for sainthood.

Think of me what you will, you know nothing of me or my fanily or our service to this country. You have no clue as to what I feel about servicemen and their familites.....please spare me your righteous indignation. None is needed or deserved

Be cool man. Your original post seemed to be somewhat callous and uncaring. And then you disappeared. You have explained yourself. So please try not to turn this into a more ugly fight.

It’s dishonorable to the memory of the SMs who died serving their country. Nobody’s asking for bronze statues to be erected for each individual, just that they treat their remains, whatever their condition, with a modicum of respect.

Joe, if you have dealt with dead bodies so much that you have lost all sense of decency and respect maybe it is time for a career change.

I always thought the purpose of an embalmment was so there could be some type of memorial service held without the body exploding. Which seems a lot like respectful care.

In my mind all the people who die in service to this country, in defending ME, should be shown all the honor and respect we can muster. No matter the condition of those remains.

We live in a society now that promotes and awards ignorance and stupidity. And this brings us Gen. Norton Schwartz.

You certainly deserve an award.

And when it comes to the disposal of your final remains...

“MAY THE SCHWARTZ BE WITH YOU!”

He must have something on someone.

If he had been active duty, I would have asked if he graduated from one of the Academies or if his dad had , or if his dad was somebody special.

Things are so screwed up these days with the military, across all branches. There is a Navy officer being considered for promotion to Rear Admiral, who in his flying days deliberately fired on another manned US military aircraft and shot it down. Meanwhile, Navy officers who have done much less are routinely punished. There are Marine officers who are punished for looking out for their men while others who disregard the safety of their men are left alone.
