JimRob has made it clear that just b/c you contribute, it doesn’t give you any sort of special dispensation or trump card.

You miss the point.

Folks who contribute don't do so in order to fund some blogger's business model using FR as free advertising.

Has little or nothing to do with Jim.

Blog pimps are using FR. I don't like it.

It's really quite simple.
