Well, yeah, John didn't even think he was 'suspicious'.

That's why he got away with it.

Affirmative; I was citing a statement by NBPP that has since been debunked by another poster.

The place and venue to sort these things out would be the Grand Jury room, not the court of public opinion.

His intentions of why and where he went out that night affect the entire timeline not to mention the truthfulness of everyone's story.

How so? Martin has no story - he's dead. Zimmerman's story begins when he saw Martin near the clubhouse behaving in a way he thought suspicious. That story is in no way dependent on whether Martin was on his way home from a store, out for a walk, or just hanging around.

No, neither is reasonable....just noting the difference in media interest in the two cases..

The comment about the bluetooth and how it may have made Martin appear suspicious is one of the best on this thread.

Not that using a bluetooth is a bad thing (before someone jumps on me)...but since he was not a familiar face and probably appeared to be talking to himself he may have drawn more attention to himself.

In any case, it is a tragedy for all concerned and I am going to wait on whatever facts the powers that be decide to let us know. In the mean time, I am appalled at the media frenzy.

Thanks. It is only speculation, of course, but I think it's important to illustrate that it is entirely possible to appear suspicious even while engaged in perfectly lawful, innocent behavior. So many people on these threads - both for and against Zimmerman - seem to be under the impression that it could only be legitimate for him to view Martin's behavior as "suspicious" if Martin was up to no good. But that is not true at all.

In any case, it is a tragedy for all concerned and I am going to wait on whatever facts the powers that be decide to let us know. In the mean time, I am appalled at the media frenzy.

Amen to that.
