Ron Paul Has A Question: What If Gingrich Doesn't Get A Plurality Of Delegates In 5 States?

What Happens When Gingrich Doesn't Get A Plurality Of Delegates In 5 States? 03/25/2012 Ron Paul

What Happens When Gingrich Doesn't Get A Plurality Of Delegates In 5 States?

This may have been asked before, but Gingrich isn't looking like he'll get the majority of delegates in at least 5 states while we will. What happens to Gingrich and his delegates since he says he'll go to the convention? Particularly, what happens on first round of voting? Do they still vote for him if bound?

Will his delegates become unbound after first round?

State laws vary on when a delegate becomes unbound (FL for instance is 2 rounds of voting).

If Newt does not have a plurality of delegates from 5 states, then he cannot be nominated from the floor. If he cannot be nominated from the floor, he has effectively dropped out of the race (and will likely formally withdraw), and if that be the case his delegates will be unbound prior to the first vote.

Newt is toast. Why do you folks still begin threads about what Newt said or did or where he campaigns and attempt to belittle Santorum who has won 11 states while your tired looking “warrior” fights with Ron Paul for last place finish? and now Paul is asking an embarrassing question of your guy and no one tries to even answer him.

Do you think that Santorum can deny Romney 1144 if Newt drops out? Do you think he’ll win over 70% of the remaining delegates? California? New Jersey? Maryland? New York?

If he were to pull off that miracle do you think he’ll be able to go to the convention, and magically pull some Romney delegates? Isn’t it more likely that if Romney needs delegates at the convention that the establishment will pull Santorum delegates to Romney?

Santorum was the only GOP candidate to toss Zimmerman under the bus before a trial.

The answer is, that Newt, being a person of honor, will follow the rules.

He’ll also know them as well as anyone, so I reckon he’ll know what he’s doing.

RP, as we all know, is not a person of honor.

Santorum sucks. he proved it this week when he decided that he was judge and jury to George Zimmerman.

No trial needed.

Look what Romney's Texas ringer is saying. Staying in the race may pay off in getting I-never-saw-an-election-I-couldn't-buy to name your boy senator his VP. How disgustingly pathetic, and of no surprise. Go home Ron, and sit on the porch where you belong. Your bankroll is bust, and you;ve got no wind in your sails.

To avoid this ...Paul should quit the race and endorse Newt.

If that’s the case than it steal would help Romney because with that “say” extra 40% of support, it would put him over the top versus a two-man race

He keeps dividing the anti-Romney vote and pushes Romney closer to the magic 1441.

Maybe he’s looking for the VP slot.

‘Santorum plays religion like Obama plays his skin color’

so true! obozo was the black ‘messiah’. Now Santorum is the ‘saint’.

The herd yearns for a ‘spiritual’ leader - messiah or saint - so they latch onto him/her and history repeats itself.

We shall see if the saint wins over the messiah (i.e. if the saint has a chance). I suppose the saint is more American than the messiah hence should be more for the Americans - but then the saint refuses to disclose his father’s citizenship at time of the saint’s birth thus perpetuating what the messiah has started - trumping his nose at the Americans who just want to uphold article 2 in the constitution.

I would be all for the saint if he stands up for article 2 -all the saint has to do is show doc proof that his father was a naturalized US citizen at time of his birth and by doing so he will force the media to question obozo’s father’s citizenship status as well (or they will argue against it thus starting a national dialogue on this issue, which is good), but........no, the saint being the saint, high above us little people, acts like he does not have to answer to us people. That, is not quite ‘saint’ enough for me to put him up on the pedestal.

I know, many will jump all over me for bringing up this ‘fringe’ issue, accusing me of using this as an excuse to oppose Santorum.
To me, among others, this is one of the very important issues, if not the most. I WILL be all for whoever is brave enough to seek the truth of obozo’s constitutional eligibility - Paul, Gingrich, Romney, Santorum, Palin......

The (well-known) presidential candidate who can stand up to obozo and call him on his ineligibility can and will save America. Will you Santorum supporters be brave enough to convince your chosen one to address this one issue that will save America and show everyone how right you are about your chosen one?
