(nothing to do with Doritos, mind you!)
This ranch sign was spotted recently near Porterville CA, 70 mi South of Fresno- ought to provide some degree of deterrent

We don’t have a sign up out at our ranch—but I have a metal sign with that message on it by our front door at our home in town..........

I’m surprised that the property owner hasn’t been forced to remove the sign.

Indeed. Liberals would claim the gun shown is “terroristic” or some such crap, and clearly put there to frighten people of color, so it is racist as well........

I used to have one at my rural residence, “I forgivest not they who trespass against me. John 30:06”

I was not about to challange the landowners spelling when I saw that sign.

I can definitely see a prosecutor (or plaintiff’s attorney in a wrongful death action) making the case that the sign indicates a mindset predisposed to use deadly force whether really necessary or not. Don’t get me wrong—I think the sign’s great, but I would hate to be beaten over the head with it while trying to explain that I shot some thug in self-defense. Logically it has no bearing on whether use of force was reasonable; it simply states the ability and willingness to defend oneself. But it could definitely be used to play on jurors’ emotions. Imagine if Mr. Zimmerman had a T-shirt bearing that logo and consider how much worse things would be for him. I believe he would have been murdered by now.

I'm in sympathy with the sign owner's opinion. I am surprised it hasn't brought him trouble with the California tyrants.

On a whim, I bought a sign at a gun show that says, “If you can read this, you’re in range.”
Unfortunately, I live on a quarter acre. :-)
Years ago we were driving on a county road in Santa Clara, CA, admiring the sprawling ranches there (and their sometimes pretentious names) when we ran across one guy who had a sense of humor. Called his place “Oleo Acres, the cheaper spread.” Would have liked to have met him.

Sorry, didn't mean to come across as a spelling Nazi.
It just caught my attention and I couldn't resist. LOL
