Possibly he is just taking teaching from elder statesman Romney.
That then makes him really well versed because he learned alot from Specter. He learned union support, and tactics.
Always good to have that sort of experience standing behind you when making those important decisions
Think about it, it is easier for him when he does not need to take a stance on the hard issues he is facing.

It proves that there is hope for the imbecile who thinks humanity is less as a developing collection of cells than a baby out of the womb. If course, Freedom depends upon a moral people who refuse to be imbeciles.

I thought Rick explained that he was for CHOICE until he first ran for office to be a Republican and then he switched on the issue. There is video of him saying exactly that.

This video is an example of Rick’s kinship with, and errand boy barker for the GOP-E, who wanted Specter.

Surely since he has flogged life issues to the Right so hard, he will stay fixed as pro-life. Surely?

More I see of Santorum, more he comes across as a politician who will do what ever floats his boat at the time. I am sticking with Newt. Not only Newt has a record of fiscal prudence, he will be head and shoulders above others against Obama in debates. Obama will make Santorum look like a religious extremist by trapping him in contraception & like issues. It will be a brokered convention.

If anyone doubts Rick is pro-life today, they are crazy. If anything, he is criticized for being TOO pro-life by the liberals as he supports personhood from conception. He even believes that even children concieved as a result of rape or incest are still human lives that should not be aborted.

Rick Santorum’s passionate speech against partial birth abortion in the Senate:

Wait... So we ~don’t~ want pro-abortion people to change their minds? We will ridicule them if they do so?

Pro-abortion people shouldn’t be put in positions of power after claiming to have made campaign conversions.

This is pretty damning.

I wish a better set of candidates had run.

Santorum is a pedestrian climber who lumbered into politics and got fired, and needs a job. Gingrich is an icon of historic proportion, who has been known to eat democrats for breakfast, with record to prove it.

Rick owes it all to Newt, who was eviscerated by Romney’s millions in Florida, and by default appeared as the last anti Romney standing, besides Uncle Nutty.

Read where Adleson gave only 10 million total to Newt. Can that be correct? Remarkable what Newt accomplished on a string and nothing to fight back with.

Gosh, it seems like Ronald Reagan didn’t get the memo. He used to be pro-choice as well. People can and do change - will Romney? I don’t know, but, anything is possible. I just don’t trust the guy.

rightjb- I don’t know who you are, but if you read the Bible, scripture refers to our growth over and over. And surely you know what the word growth means. Rick Santorum most likely was a young Christian. As a young Christian I had a lot to learn. I supported choice for several years after I was saved. I was a pro choice feminist before I became a Christian. That is exactly why abortion is such an important issue for me now. God did not reveal the truth about life to me instantly. It was gradual. Just like other truths I am constantly learning and “GROWING”. If you are walking with the Lord, you understand what it is to grow as a Christian. You and this politiJim keep posting hate which isn’t of God, and I am pretty sure Newt Gingrich would never approve of your tactics. 1 Peter 2:2 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 Job 12:12-13 1 John 4:20-21
