I read this several times and this enlightenment is excellent.
Let us not forget, every citizen, even anti-gun liberals, have this right. And even when they are vigorously working to deny the right to everyone else, they are more than willing to exercise it themselves when the need arises.
Take this episode for example:
Trial Opens for Rowan in Shooting of Trespasser
By WILLIAM K. STEVENS, Special to the New York Times
Published: September 27, 1988
Carl T. Rowan, the columnist and outspoken advocate of gun control, went on trial here today for possessing the unregistered pistol with which he shot a teen-age intruder at his home June 14. ...
The 63-year-old Mr. Rowan, who has said that his life had been threatened in the past, has also said that he was confronted by Mr. Smith. He said that he warned the youth that he had a gun, but that the youth lunged at him. He fired what he said was a warning shot, which struck Mr. Smith in the wrist.
Gold Star Post!
Can someone with some FR posting skill repost this in its original form from the site? It makes more sense and is much easier to read when the original italics and diagram are included.
I think I recall reading that Bill Clinton credited the NRA and the gun control issues for crippling his political ambitions. As usual, the stupid Liberal communists have signaled their intentions BEFORE the elections. This preview of evil to come will hopefully hurt Osama Been Lyin’ at the polls.
All one need do is to define the two-word phrase, “the people”. It is mentioned more than once in the document. There is no reasonable argument anyone could make to support the flawed premise of the gun-grabbers that the phrase is defined differently in the 2nd, than everywhere else it is used.
To me, it is just that simple.
