Two Thirds Want Newt to Stay in - 55% Don't Trust Romney

Newt Military

KEEP FIGHTING NEWT!

That’s the message from the GOP.  Only 26% want to crown Mitt and call it a day.  Only 32% of Republican voters think it should only be Romney and Rick.  And 42% respond to the Romney/Rick show with “none of the above.”

There are a couple of reasons for this in my opinion.  First, it is clear that many of us find RINO Romney simply the wrong rival to wrest control from the Cloward-Piven in Chief.  It turns out even the GOP INSIDERS may agree as Joe Scarborough spills in this morning spew:

Something is wrong.

Newt has not had the receptiveness of the American voters on his side.

This has been a huge disappointment for my wife and I.

We are sick of the stupidity the American people have shown this primary season.

I like Newt, but if “55% of Republicans” want him to stay in, why is he only getting 6% of the vote in places like Wisconsin?

Someone needs to tell those other 55% of Republicans to try a bit harder.

I’m among them.

Newt knows what he’s doing. He’s been around a long time. He’s going to use his delegates as leverage for the convention platform battle. And he knows how to whip votes! He’s not done being an articulate thorn in the establishment’s side.

I tried to find where it said that 55% didn’t trust Romney. Instead I found that 60% would be excited or satisfied with Romney’s nomination.

Newt is the only one who can right the ship at this time, for this great nation.

I agree that Newt is the best for the job. I believe more than 50% of Americans do, as well. Most are voting for Romney because the GOP and Romniacs have them convinced only he can win. The thought process is, "I like Newt the best, but he can't win, so am going to hold my nose for Mitt."

If the headline is correct, then I have a dumb question?

Why is Romney so far ahead in the delegate count? The voters, by definition, specify their preference by voting for the candidate of their choice. If Romney is so unpopular among the GOP voters, it doesn’t seem to be reflected in the current delegate totals. So there seems to be a disconnect here. Am I missing something?

The RNC changed the rules in FL and possibly in other state primaries, from winner takes all delegates to awarding delegates by the percentage of votes cast for those on the ballot.

The media has been counting FL as winner takes all for Mitt. Will Newt challenge the winner takes all and force the RNC to live by the change they made.

In Michigan an after the vote rule change fixed things for mittens and even one of his supporters called foul in it.

The Michigan Republican Party (MRP) Credentials Committee voted 4-2 last night to give Mitt Romney both of the state's at-large delegates, State Policy Committee Chair Mike Cox told MIRS today.

Cox was one of two "no" votes on the committee which met via telephone, along with attorney Eric Doster The "yes" votes included GOP National Committeeman Saul Anuzis, a Romney supporter, and MRP Chair Bobby Schostak.

That would put the delegate split at 16 for Romney and 14 for Rick Santorum, after each candidate won 14 delegates apiece in those divided by Michigan's 14 congressional districts.

As MIRS first reported on Wednesday, the MRP was delaying a final decision on the delegate split until after consulting with attorneys.

Cox said that according to the MRP rules, Santorum and Romney should each get one of Michigan's two at-large delegates based on their take of the popular vote.

"I supported Mitt, but the vote was clearly wrong," Cox said of the Credentials Committee. "It's kind of like Third World voting. We published rules and then we voted to change the rules."

"Politijim" claims that "two-thirds want Newt to stay in" and then illustrates his post title with a graph that shows 42% want Newt to stay in.

Which is it?

I actually gave "Politijim" a hit and read his entire post. There's nothing at the blog to back up the assertion that 2/3 want Newt to stay in. I read it over again to be sure.

Now, as it happens, I, too, want Newt to stay in. But I hate wasting my time on FR posts that don't back up what they claim.

Newt is my man but reality is Romney can now get enough delegates before the convention due to Santorum’s numbers falling off and Newt getting very few.

As a result of the above, Romney will be the candidate and I believe Hussein will beat him. So, do you have stored water and food?

We are just sick about the fact that Romney is likely to be the nominee.

Just wait, the Republican groupies and insiders club, will soon be demanding Republicans support another liberal, so the other party's liberal will lose.

The electoral process has become a tainted charade.

It's much like TV wrestling as the audience of applauding fools failed to notice, it's a choreographed, rehearsed show for the easily led.

Two Thirds Want Newt to Stay in - 55% Don't Trust Romney

I'm one of the 55%! I don't trust him and, if he is the RNC nominee, I won't squander my vote for him.

The RNC has convinced itself that if they keep pushing RINOmney and he becomes the nominee, "Republicans will rally around our nominee".

This former Republican, now Tea Partier WON'T!!

It is sickening. When you have Drudge, Krauthammer, Coulter and MSM all helping to stake the deck. Obama and the Democrats are picking the one they prefer to run against. You have a perfect storm against Newt. He is a courageous warrior looking out for the country, teaching American history and culture along the way. It’s a shame the way the Establishment and all the Rinos continue to disregard the lessons of history. The one guy who could debate Obama decisively has been assassinated. It is a shame that an elitist multibillionaire has been picked for our leader with motto just like Obama, “We believe.”

Same at my house.

Come on. Isn’t it obvious that Romney would do nothing to fix the problems of the nation? He would maintain the mess. Perhaps stop it from getting worse.

He has no bold ideas he is willing to fight for. He supports only what is popular with the voters he is after.

He will be an easy target of Obama’s class warfare attacks.

I wonder if gas and food prices will continue to continue to double or triple under the second term?

Went shopping for food tonight. I skipped buying any meat. Just unwilling to pay that much.

Supreme gas is now $4.45 in my town.

Can we survive more Obama economic policy?

I'm bookmarking this thread. I was shocked there were people claiming I'm delusional for stating Newt won't win the nomination!!! Even though I voted for Santorum I'm now accused as a super secret Romney supporter!!!

This my friends is how Jim Jones was able to kill so many people!!! Maybe they are the same people who gave money to Tax Masters who got fined 190 million this week for fraud!

I do have a Masters and took many a political science class but a 6th grader could tell you the math doesn't work for Newt. California and New York will put Mittens over the top. Am I happy? No. But I'm not going to rant like a homeless nut trying to sell Street Wise in a gutter in Chicago.

If people really think Newt is going to win after consistently placing 4th. Then I should probably set up a Tax Masters scheme and try and scam em. We can start with selling them beach front property in Arizona!!!

This "expert" pollster is an unknown blogger who really hates the White Sox, like really hates the White Sox rants that he wants us banned from baseball and our records (I'm assuming our World Series wins) erased from history!

This is why people laugh at blogs, anyone can make them even a retarded Cub fan from hell.

I'm guessing his next poll will say 100% of crack heads in Lincoln Park believe the Cubs will win the World Series this year....

Go to the site it's like a side show at a Carnival!!!

Thanks rightjb for showing me someone who makes the Daily Kos look legit!!!

You should read the guys site he legitimately HATES White Sox fans and is certain Newt Gingrich will win New York, California hell maybe he'll run the table after finishing behind Ron Paul in Wisconsin!!!

The idiot isn't a good propagandist as even his poll proves his headline wrong as 60% of people he polled I'm assuming his family members and pets, said they would be satisfied with Romney! LOL! The guy's polls support Romney!!! So if anyone is a Mitt fan it is this loser with a blog!
