Two Thirds Want Newt to Stay in - 55% Don't Trust Romney

Newt Military

KEEP FIGHTING NEWT!

That’s the message from the GOP.  Only 26% want to crown Mitt and call it a day.  Only 32% of Republican voters think it should only be Romney and Rick.  And 42% respond to the Romney/Rick show with “none of the above.”

There are a couple of reasons for this in my opinion.  First, it is clear that many of us find RINO Romney simply the wrong rival to wrest control from the Cloward-Piven in Chief.  It turns out even the GOP INSIDERS may agree as Joe Scarborough spills in this morning spew:

The RNC changed the rules in FL and possibly in other state primaries, from winner takes all delegates to awarding delegates by the percentage of votes cast for those on the ballot.

The media has been counting FL as winner takes all for Mitt. Will Newt challenge the winner takes all and force the RNC to live by the change they made.

Me, too...I’ve been winding down my activity for Newt.... but maybe Rick drops out B4 Pennsyklvania (but I doubt it, whatever else he may not be, Rick is not a quitter).

If all that is correct, then why is Newt so far behind? It’s frustrating!

In Michigan an after the vote rule change fixed things for mittens and even one of his supporters called foul in it.

The Michigan Republican Party (MRP) Credentials Committee voted 4-2 last night to give Mitt Romney both of the state's at-large delegates, State Policy Committee Chair Mike Cox told MIRS today.

Cox was one of two "no" votes on the committee which met via telephone, along with attorney Eric Doster The "yes" votes included GOP National Committeeman Saul Anuzis, a Romney supporter, and MRP Chair Bobby Schostak.

That would put the delegate split at 16 for Romney and 14 for Rick Santorum, after each candidate won 14 delegates apiece in those divided by Michigan's 14 congressional districts.

As MIRS first reported on Wednesday, the MRP was delaying a final decision on the delegate split until after consulting with attorneys.

Cox said that according to the MRP rules, Santorum and Romney should each get one of Michigan's two at-large delegates based on their take of the popular vote.

"I supported Mitt, but the vote was clearly wrong," Cox said of the Credentials Committee. "It's kind of like Third World voting. We published rules and then we voted to change the rules."

"Politijim" claims that "two-thirds want Newt to stay in" and then illustrates his post title with a graph that shows 42% want Newt to stay in.

Which is it?

I actually gave "Politijim" a hit and read his entire post. There's nothing at the blog to back up the assertion that 2/3 want Newt to stay in. I read it over again to be sure.

Now, as it happens, I, too, want Newt to stay in. But I hate wasting my time on FR posts that don't back up what they claim.

Newt is my man but reality is Romney can now get enough delegates before the convention due to Santorum’s numbers falling off and Newt getting very few.

As a result of the above, Romney will be the candidate and I believe Hussein will beat him. So, do you have stored water and food?

If 55 percent of the voters want Newt in the race, I suggest they vote for him.

It’s a crazy idea, I know.

We are just sick about the fact that Romney is likely to be the nominee.

Just wait, the Republican groupies and insiders club, will soon be demanding Republicans support another liberal, so the other party's liberal will lose.

The electoral process has become a tainted charade.

It's much like TV wrestling as the audience of applauding fools failed to notice, it's a choreographed, rehearsed show for the easily led.

Two Thirds Want Newt to Stay in - 55% Don't Trust Romney

I'm one of the 55%! I don't trust him and, if he is the RNC nominee, I won't squander my vote for him.

The RNC has convinced itself that if they keep pushing RINOmney and he becomes the nominee, "Republicans will rally around our nominee".

This former Republican, now Tea Partier WON'T!!

Why does the picture with the article (second bar in the graph) say that if Newt Gingrich dropped out, Rick Santorum would be the “mean challenger to Mitt Romney.” Was that supposed to say “main?”

Democrats can and do vote in the Republican primaries, who do you suppose they vote for-—the guy they think would be easiest for their guy to beat.

Only Newt knows the trouble America is in.

Romney has no idea...he wants to be president because his daddy did and failed...and because of the White Horse Prophecy.

And Sanctorum (God bless him)...he is, indeed, a chicken without a head!
