I refuse to accept another four years of Obama as inevitable.

It will be an uphill climb for any Republican to unseat Obama, but it is certainly possible.

I’m surprised by your attitude. We been on the opposite sides of the debate about how conservative is conservative enough, but you’ve never been a defeatist.

Please help unseat Obama, but continue the fight for your values after this election. If Mitt does get the nomination, we will need plenty of voices to keep him on the conservative path.

With Obama, conservative complaints simply fall on deaf ears. He has got to go.

“George Soros thanks you!”

And if you stay home, Obama thanks you. Like he thanked all of us for giving him McCain.

Then again, history des tend to repeat itself.

What I'd like to know is HOW in the WORLD did we get here?

Simple...one issue conservatism has put liberals in the drivers seat.

We split our votes in the primaries, and sat at home on election day because of it.

I tried pointing that out, year after year, but personal principles were far more important to many conservatives.

We ended up flushing our influence on the course of America down the toilet.

It will be decades before we get back to the same place we were in 2004, but a starting point is getting BO the h*ck out.

Just my opinion....

I agree with that; God better be our priority now.

The thing is, I don’t understand how people who call themselves conservative can expect anything of value from Romney. He and his people have been letting us know all along what the plan is-—i.e., the “Etch-A-Sketch” remark. Are people blind...deaf? Hypnotized? Makes no sense.

We got Obama because mister “we have nothing to fear in Obama,” McCain ran RINO and gave up. Sarah Palin wanted to fight, but the fix was already in from Steve Schmidt the GOP-e.

When will you RINO lovers finally admit that it is up to the candidate to give the voters a reason to vote for them? If they can’t do that, if they can’t seal the deal as Sarah Palin puts it, it is their fault and their failure.

Keep falling for RINOs and we will keep losing. Either the RINOs won’t win the election or they will make things worse than any democrat could. Just ask the conservatives in Massachusetts after Romney.

I won’t vote for progressives, liberals, marxists, commies or socialists in either party. Too bad some citizens in this free republic can’t stand that.

I am simple. I vote for the most conservative in the primary and the Repblican in the general.

There is no magic. I did my part if the Republican party picks Romney, I am holding my nose and voting for him. Hopefully, enough young conservatives are elected to take both houses and then they can handle the President.

The alternative is worse.

I really doubt anyone on this site stayed home and I doubt anyone will stay home this time as well, however, that being said, Romney isn't going to get a lot votes from conservatives and conservative independents. A lot of them will go third party no matter how much you and your cohorts hecter them.

You really should be directiry your ire at Romney and the GOP-E, and when (and not if) Romney loses, your ire should be doubled at them because it won't be the fault of those of us who could no longer stomach the lousy, awful choices the GOP-E has given us.

Then again, history des tend to repeat itself.

Yes, kind of like another really bad candidate, however this time Mitt makes McCain look like a conservative.

It’s you that keeps promising it will be better next time if we just keep withholding support from the Republicans ..... and look at where we are.

Well, whether you believe it or not, it has been getting better. The tea-party has gotten rid of some really bad apples and overall, our candidates and our Congressman and Congresswomen overall at both the Federal and state level are better.

I think most sane conservatives are going to reject that thinking this time. Obama is just too bad to let back in.

Most might, however, more than in 2008 won't and Romney with his horrendously left-wing, Progressive Liberal record is going to need every vote possible in order to counter-act the barrage and beating he will be getting from Obama and the MSM using his own record against him.

Face it, he doesn't have a chance and never did.

In order to win, he would need to be 10+ points ahead of Obama at this time given his lousy record.

Depending on the poll, the best he can do is 5.

He's toast.

A vote for anyone except the GOP nominee is a vote for BO.

No, since there's not much difference between Romney's record and Obama's record and because Romney can't win, a vote for Romney is a vote for Obama.

Sorry to burst your hope bubble.

I do too, and what is really sad is those still trying to boost Romney also know it to be true and are still trying to sell Romney.

Does anyone really believe George Soros? I don’t.

Except that Romney's documented record actually supports Soro's conclusion.

4 years ago, Romney was the a conservative candidate.

There is no ire here. There is disappointment that the conservatives had 20 years to field a Conservatve party candidate which would have changed the Republican party. We would have lost elections and wound up with the same crap.

Unfortunately, it is too late to do this. We need a Repubican win so we can begin to change the face of the party. The Tea Party was it. Then they won in 2010 and vanished.

If we are smart and Romney gets the nomination, we use his Presidency to build a stronger conservative party.

Sorry, but History does not support you in your hopeful conclusion.

Everytime a slightly moderate (GWB) to a moderate (Arnold) to liberal (Romney) Republican has been elected to an executive position the GOP has been left marginalized in some fashion and the more liberal the GOP executive, the worse the damage see Arnold in CA and Mitt in MA. The republican party in MA is now non-existent and CA is quickly following it's lead.

I feel your pain and understan your devotion to your position given the awfulness of Obama, but Romney won't win, and even if by some strange twist of fate he did, he would destroy the GOP nationally as an effective home of conservatives.

Well, whether you believe it or not, it has been getting better.

You're more full of stuffing than a Christmas turkey.

Better?

Kagan and Sotomayer.

Gasoline at 4.00 a gallon...over 3.00 a gallon for 18 months.

Coal power plants crippled, new ones stopped.

New oil drilling stopped dead in its tracks.

Tens of millions wasted on green energy.

An energy secretary that wants, and will get, gas prices the same as Europe.

Nearly a trillion dollars wasted on Obama's stimulus.

Five trillion dollars of debt in 3.5 years, with trillion plus deficits for the next four years at least.

Obamacare passed into law, with provisions already taking effect, except for Obama supporters.

A health secretary that will force the Roman Catholic church to pay for contraception and day after pills...and sees nothing wrong with it.

Of the 11 RINO senators we had in 2006, everyone was replaced by a Democrat.

The Tea Party gave us about 15 more Reps in Congress than we had in 2004, and they have been impotent in stopping Obama.

Our nation is now run by unappointed Czars, most of them as far left as Hugo Chavez.

Regulations by every federal bureaucracy have exploded, killing small business.

The price of houses is still falling.

A claimed unemployment figure of over 8% with the real unemployment figure closer to 17%.

Illegal immigrants are being released unless they are felons, giving them de facto amnesty.

Border enforcement has been cut, and no new fencing or anything else has been proposed.

Don't ask, don't tell has been repealed.

The DOJ won't defend the DOMA in court anymore.

Our Federal government gave automatic weapons to Mexican drug lords, tried to use it as an argument for gun control, got caught, then lied about it, and nothing has happened to anyone involved.

The DOJ refuses to investigate voter intimidation against whites, and in fact drops the case on the Black Panthers.

I could go on for quite a while...but my fingers are getting tired.

You sure have a funny idea of what "getting better" means.

This was Soros sending a signal. He was letting all the marxists, commies, socialists, anarchists, and New World Order faction know that it will please him to have Romney in there. He had already told people there was little difference between Obama and Romney. Now Soros is letting them know his choice.

I left out the totally embarrassing and, more importantly, dangerous Obama foreign policy.

I would need a book to detail that for you.

"4 years ago, Romney was the a conservative candidate."

No he wasn't. He was a socialist back then. Same as this election, he tried to fool people by pretending to be conservative. He spent his time lying about Reagan to make himself look like a conservative comparatively. It didn't work out so well for him because he found he could not outrun his history. So he didn't try pressing the lie so hard this time. But he is still trying to deceive people into believing he's severely conservative. His liberal record hasn't changed one bit. He's still the socialist he's always been.
